how did you know? I was looking all over the web for any info. That is a cool hoax. reminds me of those 350hp supras for under $30K that are going to be out in a year. The 16 inch wheels are a little of a give away, I mean 18" wheels are the bomb.

I wish honda would build that or a F1 like NSX. If Honda could build an NSX with that kind of power to weight.

Hahaaa....lots of things just didn't add up. Tons of technical details just don't make sense. Overall though...the first huge clue was the I6 engine...they should have said it was a reworked V6 from an NSX...that would be a lot more believable. Anyway, you don't just throw a big-*** I6 engine in a car designed to carry an inline 4 with 50/50 weight balance F/R, and expect it to drive the same way...or better. An interesting read, and a nice little hoax though.

There is a S2000 out there, according to Road and Track, that does have some 100+ more hp than the stock S2000. I don't think it's what was in the link in this thread, but there is one. I will find out more tonight when I get home. The mag is at home with the arcticle.

There, that's better.

Corvette, '03 Cobra, Camaro Z28/SS, will own a Z. Sorry, but the ET's don't lie.

Corvette is in another class. Drive one, then come back and talk to me.

The 911 (non-turbo) at what??? $50-70k? (guessing) Dude, it's a Porsche....c'mon.....

Rick
I do think he was referring to overall performance. Not just strait line performance. Sorry muscle boy, but those are cars that either definately compare or will be beat. (although im not really sure about the 911 being one the list, that is......pushing it, really pushing it)

Of course when we do talk about 'vettes comparing with the Z, noone is comparing the Z06.

I am very surpirised everyone seemed to forget to mention this one car... even though its a small piece of junk(and German), in my opinion, The new SLK32 AMG has 349hp with a curb weight about the same as the Z, 3220. As far as the others go, i cant even compare the SVT or Vette. I hate domestics.the only car that can be rated better is a 911. but after a few mods to my new 350Z, it wont be for long.
