Weekend cars and rain don't mix.

I used to own an '83 280zx, loved the car....crashed the car....
Told myself I'd own another Z someday....my '07 is THAT car...
It was purchased as a "special" car....and gets treated as such...
no...it's not a Ferrari, or a Lambo, or an Enzo.....but for some people the Z IS SPECIAL! (I've been driving a freakin '95 Altima for 10 years before I finally had enough cash to buy my '07)
I don't think that people that cherish their ride should be called out....Your Z may not be overly special to YOU...but to some people....like me.....It's probably the best car they'll ever own...and gets treated as such...
(thanks for the rant!)

not lofty goals moron.....not everyone can afford nice things on a daily basis, that's the point I was trying to make....so when they do get nice things they take care of them...
but obviously taking good care of your car doesn't apply to you...
I bet it's a beauty, with all the rock chips, door dings, scratches, and spilled food...you probably bought grey so you didn't have to wash it...
Get a life! Seems like everybody else here has one...

not only that, but really it is a nice car and some people have goals other than driving a 50k+ car.
Personally I would rather the 350 be the nicest car I ever own and retire early than live with high car payments the rest of my life trying to one up the last car I bought.

First off moron, I didnt know that because some people drive their cars that they dont take care of them. My car gets washed on a weekly basis and vaccumed out everytime I get gas or wash it. Rock chips, nah I have a clear bra on there. No chips to speak of. Door dents, nope. I dont park next to people. Food in the car, nope. I dont eat in there.
There is a huge difference between the 25-30k car and a 50K car !!!! Solar, if that was the point you were trying to make then you should have made it. Because the way it reads is that you feel you have reached the pinnacle of your life financially and dont really aspire to anything more. Again, lofty goals you have.
Zeekle, if you think owning something nicer than the 350 will prevent you from retiring early then you may want to think about a carreer change. That statement is just plain stupid.
You two cant be serious about the Z being the nicest car you will ever own. The average truck, suv, and the like are well over 30K. For that matter most cars on the lot are around 30k or more.
As for Solar again, why did you buy the Z ? If you dont want it to get any scratches, rock chips ect... Those are going to happen to every car on the road !!!!! So you two morons are so worried about retirement and affordability but you go buy a 30K car(nicest you will ever own) "your words" and never drive it ??????? Dont you think you could have done a lot better with your 30K ??? You two make no sense at all.
You imply that people that can afford nice things dont take care of them. HUH, am I missing something there ? WOW you really need to get a life.
Taking your life savings to buy a car that you dont even drive. That there makes a whole lot of sense to me!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you need to see a financial advisor because you evedently have no clue what you are doing with your money.

Damn you guys drive a lot, I got my 07 in March and it has 6,100 miles. I thought that was a lot. I did have a problem with the clutch pedal assembly, but the dealership fixed it third time around.

I got mine in march and I have 8100 miles on it. The car is running great, no mods yet. i'll start after 10k. I'm thinking coilovers and wheels first. I have a silver alloy touring with burnt orange leather.

+1
Some people have a 'daily driver' like me and others on here. I wouldn't even have bought the Z if it were my only car. Too much rain and snow in winter to go spinnin off into a ditch. The Z is indeed my toy and I like my stuff clean. Feel free to trash 'your' Z
4300 miles on mine and 'slowly' counting.

Well if you call driving it trashing it then yeah I am trashing the hell out of it. But it is indeed always sparkling clean. Then when it has too many miles on it I will go and get another one.
Good luck staring at your cars while I am driving my toy.

Well I would much rather drive my Z than my Lexus ES300. Way more fun. So even though I dont have to drive it, I WANT to !!!!!!!!!!! LOTS MORE FUN

17,800 here, got mine Feb. 12, 2007. Only problem I had was that a computer board for my windshield wipers went out. Very random, the dealership couldn't explain it, but they fixed it in a couple of days and gave me an 08 Titan as a loaner. My back tires are wearing pretty quick, but the fronts look almost new. Majority of the miles are highway driving. I love the car. Runs smooth and still turns heads!

18,500 on mine. Tire feathering and the clutch issue. The clutch drop issue showed up at around 1,500 miles and the tire feathering at 8K.
Otherwise, it's been a great car. I'm working with Nissan on getting the two issues fixed.
