350Z show car vs production
Hello everyone.
1st off, i wanted to thank Jeff for taking the awesome pics and Jmanz for posting the pics on here..they are soo awesome. i have already showed my whole neighborhood..lol.
anyways, the question is this....
is it me, or does anyone else see a little of a difference between the two cars (production and show)?
for some reason, when i am comparing these two cars, i see that:
1) the production car isnt as defined at the rear as much as the show car, instead, it seems more "bubbly"
2) the production car looks shorter at the rear then the show car.
idk, it might just be me, but does anyone else see this?

I thought it looked different too. But I could not place where the differences are. I think it is just a matter of placement. The car is outside in real light with "real" chrome silver color on pavement next to other cars. I think these conditions make the difference.
I went back and looked. I do see some differences as you stated but I still credit them to viewing angles. I think it has to do with the fact that most all the pics we drooled over in the past were show pics of the car on it's stage. Now these pics are street level taken from a higher point. This will naturally make things look shorter. Look at pic 11, 16, 18, 23, 24. Those are all looking down and at eye level. Now look at 2, 8, 9, 13, 17, those are strait on and are similar angles to pics we have already seen. My favorite is 8. Well now that I am looking harder, the differences are going away. . . .Argh! We won’t be able to look at the car while we drive it anyway, and I won't be handing over the keys to watch someone else drive it.
idk, maybe it is the angle.
i see what you are saying Vandy, the pics he took were at an angle, and the one that we are used to seeing are at a straighter angle...but, just a few difference of an angle can actually make the car look that much different? lol, i dont even know why i started this post, i guess its because i liked the Z when it was longer and more defined, rather then shorter and more bubbely like in the pics posted now...either way, it is a bad *** car, and i cant wait till mine comes in..
and if anyonw else would like to give an opinion on this, please do..i'd like to hear it.

The production car does look shorter and not as sleek as the show car. But, remember that the show car is just that... a show car. But, it could be the viewing angles of the pics. But not having stats on the show car (and why would we) we have nothing to compare the production car to. I've been very curious about the length of the production car. Now seeing it next the Sentra and the 240SX in the pictures you get a good idea of the length of the car.
