Default Should I ????

Ok, I am new to the board. I up until 2 days ago owned a 2001 Toyota Celica. I loved my car. We had a really bad rain and my car along with about 20 others ended up in a 2 foot deep 6 lane wide "river". Needless to say my car is toast. I love the look and everything else on the 350Z. I had a 240 at one point as well. My question is being female with little to none understanding of car problems(never had any) should I get this car or am I going to be back and forth at the dealership every week? I would be getting the Enthusiast model and it will be an automatic. Any insight would be appreciated. I have been reading the boards, and while there are alot of good reviews there seem to be alot of problems as well.

Thank you

I'm very happy with my car. I've had it 4 weeks. I think the majority of the problems that people have been speaking of have occurred on early production cars. You should get a Z.

Several other ladies on here own Zzzzs & love them. I enjoy mine as well and I can assure you the only thing I know about car maintenance is what the manual & mechanics tell me. It is a well built, fun car.

Yes, there have been problems but they get overblown here.

My Zzzz is now up to 3000 miles with zzzzero problems. The car has not been to the dealer or maintenance shop except for an oil change.

See the attached for the overall view of folks on here:

Go get your Zzzzzz!!

Fellow girlie Z owner here.

*LOOOOVE* it. I haven't had any problems except that somehow, I have to go to the gas station more. =)

"What? Oh, you wanted me to the grocery in town? Not the one 50 miles down the road?!"

I didn't know much about cars before I bought the Z (besides aesthetics). Now I know more (about mods, thanks to the SoCal Z guys).

Many of the complaints on this board are majorly nit-picky things - we are all, in some way, obsessive Z freaks here. Plus you won't have any of the tranny problems if you're getting an auto (which is the most serious of the problems, IMHO).

Get it, you'll LOVE it. I learned to drive the twisties in the Malibu canyons and go FAST thanks to my Z.

edit: beware, it is not gas friendly (at least not for me), esplly not compared to your Celica.

OK I'm convinced.

Not like I needed my arm twisted or anything.
