well most people dont use a high pressure wash to wash their cars with, you get close enough with those and you can take paint and clear right off

Exactly completly fading out.. May be the Mud flaps were painted poorly... Other than that the body and paint quality of the car itself is perfect i have no issues.

You would be surprise let me tell you.. All i see are Benz, BMW's, Porshe and Lexus at this place. Some of these guys have thousand dollars rims and they like to do it themselves.. A regular car wash will **** them up. I've washed my Lexus there for almost 2 years and no paint fading on that car. I have a 3 piece wheel on that car and its the only place i will wash my car

To defend Nexx.. if the OP had searched before posting about his paint problem he would have found all the threads that cover this exact existing topic.

I am well aware of complaints with Nissan and Paint.. This is a FORUM i'm sorry i posted about my observation about MY CAR. Just because Nex has more posts than me does'nt mean he has to be a smart ***.

Here is my little secret -- Take to dealer on a Friday / Saturday and raise hell when new customers are buying Nissans. Talk loudly/remain calm/don’t settle for the BS, no need for profanity. Make sure customers can hear you. Come in looking very professional(casual pants/shirt i.e. look like you have some $$$$) - I've had new brake pads & front rotors < 1500mi for freaking annoying squeak. Refund check for my inconvenient visit to the Dealer. I buy new cars every year and all gave me at least one problem that had to be repaired by the dealer. A decent dealer will do the right thing

never thought something as simple as rock chips would start a flame war... lol

Nissan paint does suck. I have severe chipping/scratching on my mudguards from years of use. When it boils down to it, they cut a corner with the paint. I had a '93 camry that's paint job looked really good in 2004 when i sold it. 14 years of Florida sun didn't take the affect as 4 years of driving the Z. (and the Z is garaged) It's rediculous, but one of those things we all live with because the pros outweigh the cons.

Totally agree with you man. My 350 is a 2003 model and I have never had the paint flake of the mud flaps. Mine is daily driven and no garage queen at all. I wash it at my house with a low pressure adapter. It kind of reminds you of a low pressure shower. Either way lets work on getting that Z back to the way you like it. Try and see if you can get your dealer to take a look at it for you. It may be a long shot but its worth the try. Good luck, and let us know what the results are

yes but i dont take my cars to places like that and use a high pressure wash, wash them at home, or use the low pressure option, my cars have seen nothing but a chamois, soap, and water

If you don't mind saying, roughly how much did you pay and did you do the whole car? or just the problem area(s)?
