Default how often~~~

How often you start your Z if your Z has been storaged ??
I only start it like once in 2 weeks ,just wondering if its ok ??
The reason that im asking is cuz that im not gonna bother to put those fuel stablize thing into the tank or jack up the car or new oil etc....
So once in 2 weeks wont hurt the car right ???
some help advises will be nice ... please no flame or anything bad ...thx

You will be fine with every 2 weeks. At least once a month is what I have read; you gotta get the fluids flowing through the system, thats all. Drive it around the block if possible.

I'd be sure everything got up to operating temperature to get rid of accumulated moisture. Don't know how long you plan to store it but some Sta-Bil in the gas tank won't hurt. Even though you plan to start the engine every two weeks you're going to have a lot of gas in the tank that is just going to sit there until you pull out of storage and use it up. Starting the engine will not help the gas in the tank.

Dont do it.. unless you can drive the car up to full temp and some (more like like 45min drive) dont waste your time, you'll do more damage just starting it and not driving it or driving a short distance then just leaving it alone. disconnect the batt or better yet buy a trckle charger and leave it be.

make sure to run your A/C as well to keep the system nice and lubricated.

Right answer!

DO NOT periodically start a stored vehicle. Each start is a minimum oil film start, and also creates condensate and corrosives that settle into the crankcase.

There is NO BENEFIT to periodically starting a stored car.

If its going to be in storage for a while, you might as well take an hour out of your day and it it the right way!.... search feature will help you on the proper way to do this.

Personally on a nice weekend I will take her for a short spin. But in the dead of winter when she stays in the garage I plan on starting her once a week. Just a personal prefereance, I am sure less would work but more can't hurt.

Hmmmmm, I guess I will only do it if the roads are clear and I can take her for a spin.

i think i can do it cuz i live in an apartment which means i could drive around in the underground parking lot till it hits the full temp and all....
and just wondering that if its ok to do it in the underground parking lot or do you really have to take it out to hit it ???
i dont know if it makes any differences to take it out or stay in the underground parking lot ... if it does make any difference then i will do a proper storage for it . But yeah~ i think i will do the proper storage soon cuz im planning to leave it down there till the next summer so i can finish my project .
So, sorry about that i have to ask again , what is a proper storage for our Z's ? a list would be nice .
also that does it matter what kinda engine oil you use when your car is storaged if not then i will just get it changed for those ok oils .Then switch back to those high end oils ,Once the storage finished.
sorry for being like a Noob . i know cars but never store a car be4 since the z makes me wants to baby it , and why i dont want to follow the tips from the search cuz things changed every mins right ,so i have to ask to see if theres any better ways to storage a Z . we all Z lover ... I just wanna know if theres any update infor. for this kinda things . thx for any helps and all the replys . Once again please no flame .. we all love Zs..

Your "spin" needs to last long enough to allow the oil to come up to full temp, and then be driven another 10-15 minutes to allow the condensates to boil off.

But simply leaving it alone is still the best procedure.

If it's going to be in storage please change the oil first

Don't put it on jack stands.

Don't start it.

Stabil shouldn't be needed if only storing for the winter.

It will wake up happily in the spring.

Don't even bother. It's actually damaging to do this. Take it from someone that has to store her car 5mths a year every year. I've heard all the stories and recommendations known and the best most valued is to not even touch it until you bring it out of storage.

-Fill it up with high octane
-Change the oil
-Disconnect the battery
-Car cover
-Kiss it goodbye until next season
