Hey Ryan, I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the shops behind your work. 1 in particular I knew had a history back in the day for "repoing" chit off cars after they installed it, or just flat out taking cars/parts. If I were you I'd drive around those lots just to see if you see it lying around because there's a good chance they ditched it.
