I just bought a new 2008 Z 15 miles on the Odo today. I noticed the driver window making loud clicking noises when rolls down.When the window has completly rolled down into the door i hear 2 to 3 clicks. I called my salesman and he says its normal. Rolling the windows up is fine no noises whatsoever. I searched and only thing i came up with was using the auto feature was the reason for this.Right now i m pist and ready to raise hell tomorrow. Advice plz

hey better then mine, i got mine, it took me 2 days to get my Z. and soon as when i got out from dealer and 2 hours later passenger window doesn't come up, so took it to service one more day.!


if it keep making a noise, take it to service. if they keep sayin it's normal, go try with other Z at dealer.

they are ******. PLUS Service too.

 

id be annoyed too if i got a car and it was messing up already. just try it on another 08 z

 

Amity Nissan I mean by 2008 this problem should be fixed you knw.I just wanted an opinion from you guys if this is normal or if there is a problem with the window.Its just that damn clicking.. Im just pist new car and already the problems. The car's not even hrs old yet

What Z did you end up buying from them? And where in Queens are you? I'm usually around Little Neck, so you can often see my Z sitting inside the Starbucks on Northern in Great Neck, while I'm sipping away on my coffee with the gf. LOL

 

It's not normal.

 

Ok i went there this morning i sat in 4 New 2008 350z and they all clicked when the windows are rolled down.. Normal perhaps i dont know what to think now. I still left the car for them to check to make sure have the tech look at it. I got a nissan Murano SUV loaner nice truck

 

its not normal. Its the motor about to fail. just tell them to fix it and thats about it. I had the same prob. with my Z.

 

Get it fixed. If they are saying its normal, tell them to come to this thread and read the posts.



WINDOW MOTOR TSB are there for the Zs!

 

Its just funny i guess brand new cars not even off the lot and the motors are shot

 

my 07 does not click, at least not perceptably.

 

really feel for you guys on this window thing. I am two years into my 2006 without anything near this. I honestly don't know why this remains as an issue but I would be hesitant to say it is normal. If it's normal in the sense that other Z models have had it in the past (as documented) then fine however, regardless, I would take it back and get it rectified tomorrow. It doesn't matter if it's a Z or entry level anything. Windows should function properly and from the description above, this does not appear to be the case.

There are plenty of 08's out, if you "ordered" it, then expect a 3-4 month wait.

 

Here's a list of their scumbaggedness from the beginning of my dealings with them (this is all within a two week period).

-They wouldn't let me testdrive the car(this was after I had scheduled a testdrive and came in person)

-They refused to let the salesman take the car off the showroom floor to drive it with me in the passenger seat(the same one that I had been told that I was going to testdrive)

-They told me they would let me testdrive the automatic 350z but this never happened

-Finally the salesman took a manual 350z off the lot to give me a testdrive in, but it was a 2005 model which has the VQ35DE engine, so it's not even the same car

-They gave me the lowest possible trade in value of my car and didn't even ask me what options I had in it that would raise the value of the car in hopes that I would be naive and not call them out on it

-When I told them that I have options on the car, they claimed that some of the options I have were not listed

-A few days later I had to come in for a second trade in appraisal(absolutely unheard of) and this time he asks me if I have a sunroof, which I said very clearly during the first appraisal (and first price quote, I might add)

-The salesman mishears "side curtain air bags" and thinks I said "ABS" and gives me the wrong price quote

-They said something needed to be repaired on the car that I was supposed to take delivery of and they crashed it on the way to PepBoys on the day that I was going to pick it up(two things wrong here 1: it's a brand new car; Why does something need to be fixed?? 2: Why are they bringing it to PepBoys instead of their own service dept.??)

-They would have sold me the car that they had to have repaired as brand new if they hadn't crashed it.

-Oh, and I'm pretty sure the salesman is a coke-head by the way he was grinding his teeth and talking, etc.

This is what I call excellent Nissan customer service. Take it past your "salesman", as no offense to anyone here who may work at a dealership, but most of these "salesmen" couldn't sell life vests on the Titanic. Before I get flamed....I said "most".

well i used to go that starbucks with my friends. from there...Ummm so far i saw 2 Z, one was just stock,, and other one had some mod on it.

and i got CS Z

 

It should be delivered in December, if you live on the east coast.

Did you see proof that they ordered it?
