Default Z broken into, but very weird

I've never had any of my cars broken into, and someone had mentioned in another thread how there are Zs being broken into lately, now I'm a victim. Good thing is, nothing was taken, well because I don't leave anything in my car generally other than just paperwork. All my compartments were open, and what was very weird is my passenger side window is scratched from the inside. I didn't leave my window open, rarely drive with windows open.

I was having a meeting with a client, and went out for lunch in his car. Left my Z parked in his office building parking lot. I don't know what to make of it. I'm going to throw this out there, might not have to do anything with it. My client has a cousin that just "graduated" from prison, and he's working for him. One day he said to me, "nice car," but not in a friendly way. I took no offense at the time. I'm just pissed right now had to vent somewhere.

Well, it's okay, guys who go to prison are usually upstanding and splendid fellows. I'm sure he meant nothing by it.

Just glad you are not stereotyping people, & keeping a open mind about this situation.

Maybe you can call the cops & also blame this person for Lindberg baby kidnapping & the JFK shooting, also. Damn ex-cons!!!!

Pshh... I doubt he was alive for the Lindberg baby. But seriously though it's good JFK's killer has been found.

Seriously though, how do you say "Nice car" in a mean way? I mean, I've never heard "nice car", and then walked away muttering, "@sshole".

So who killed Kennedy?

Because the Warren commission gave no real damn clue, they did not rule out a conspiracy, the mafia or a second or possible 3rd shooter.

I'm listening...........

Do you see a link to Castro and the damn coMMies??

You know with the whole Cuban Missle Crisis, well ummm Kennedy was not playing nice or making friends with Casto & his bed partners (Russia) in in the 60's.

If this took place in an area where a thief might think they had a little time, (bad neighborhood, parking space with no visibility from traffic, low foot traffic in the parking lot, etc.) then I say it could have been anyone.

Otherwise, a thief making a move on a car, around lunch time when a lot of people come and go, would be pretty stupid to do so, considering the owner of the car could try to use it at any moment. (Like for lunch)

Stupid. Unless they knew the owner would be away from the car for a period of time.

I'm not saying it had to be the ex-con. Someone else, who happens to be proficient at breaking into cars, might have known about your lunch with the client.

I had a similar experience but they did not get in. It happened during a 3 or 4day period where I had washed my car and knew for sure nothing was wrong then a few days later noticed the scratch above my window in the paint and a scratch on the inside of the driver window. Not very noticeable. As I thought back there were 1 or 2 days in there where I was parked in unusual places for me like maybe a couple of parking garages. Is the OP and myself a vitcim/attempted victim of a traditional break in where they use a slim jim to activate the door controls through the window? Does that method still even work? I've seen the other posts where there is a much more specific way to get into the Z by prying open the keylock cylinder and have cut my door lock wires for window up/down operation. I have stock HU and leave nothing in the car so I can't imagine what they would have been doing unless someone startled them. I try to just not think about it.

You should contact the FBI. Someone is plotting a murder against you and wanted to gain any information they could about you from your car. I would definately leave the country asap.

lol...luckily theres no major damage man. Good luck. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Answer me this, does the Z come stock with an alarm of any sort? Or is the panic button there just for... panicing.
