Default how about this?

If you got a call today from your dealer and they say you can have a Z today, but it is a different color or a different model, or different options, would you take it?

I have a silverstone track on order, but it is still like 6-8 weeks out. For Me :

No white or orangish brown.

No base

No automatic tranny

No mud flaps (I just don't like them)

No nav (too expencive)

What would you guys draw the line at? I'm not looking for those who want to jump off their model or color, but rather those who are happy with their choice, but for the chance to get one sooner would take a lesser choice.

Nope. I'll wait a month or two more for years and years of enjoyment in the Z configured the way I ordered it.

No way. The only thing I would take is if the interior was frost instead of the charcoal that i ordered. No nav, no mudflaps, no auto tranny, and no other color or trim level.

i would take it if

it's not a base
it's not a auto tranny
it's not a track (i dont' care too much about rays and brembo, rather get the navi)

and no white, blue or brick.

Default HOW

I'll wait to get exactly what I ordered. I plan to keep the car for a long time and don't want 2nd best. I would regret it later. I have experienced it before and ended up with a car I hated and couldn't get rid of early without losing big bucks.

Boomer--no way.

I know what you mean, I think that is one of the best things about the pre-order. A lot of people who buy off the lot will be getting a car that may not be exactly what they wanted. Two of my current cars are not my ideal color choice.

Of course we had to order the car without knowing what the colors looked like.
