Wondering why?
I think that the 350Z doesn't come with Fog Lights, I always found that a Sports Car looks great with fog lights especially Factory Fogs , I myself pre-ordered one but I think that it should have been equipped with Fog Lamps , is there any? Did I Miss something, am I still in the clouds? Replies will be appreciated Thanks
well for as much as i know, the 350Z will not come with the fog lights. i like fog lights too especially the very bright once....(is that kind named H.I.D.?) anyway, you can always add fog lights after. for like $60 or so, you can get a very good pair!
Well I know about the aftermarkets but you know the factory installed ones are more like "Molded" to the car you know its more you know , wiring done and switch in the car is matched with all others, anyways just taught that it should have had them I mean most if not all Sports Car have Fog Lights, I guess that Nissan always makes it different then every other Car Companies, don't get me wrong I'm a Z Fanatic and love Z over any other affordable sports car but they always miss something, like the 300ZX TT no Tilt Steering what were they thinking of?

That is the first thing I noticed about the concept. No foglights. That would be the one I would change. I can't believe foglights didn't make it to production. THAT TOTALLY RUINED THE CAR!!!................completely kidding. But they would have been a nice touch. I think we can all live quite well with the finished product, though.
I believe this is a clay mock-up of the car, taken during development. It shows that they considered fog lights- but that they didn't make it to production. I think the reason was that with HID's, you don't really need them- making the added cost unnecessary.
I am not willing to cut holes in my Z's body to mount lights. But the grill area is another matter. Looking at a few front on shots, it appears that the outer 6 or so inches of the grill cover a blank area. So mounting fogs there won't restrict cooling air.
I've been to PIAA.com, and I'm liking the 540 series. If someone could, would you PLEASE Photoshop these into the grill area. Thanks.

Do you think you'll really need both HID's and aftermarket fog lights? Seems like that might be overkill, unless you're doing this for style reasons....
Fog lights are designed to be a LOW beam, with the light cutting under the fog, with less reflected light, and also a wider than normal pattern. Regular lights put a pattern straight out. If you have ever driven in a fluffy snow storm, you would understand.
www.piaa.com explains it much better than I can. I currently have factory fogs on my Jetta, and I love them.

Fluffy Snow Strom... I had a 240sx and live in upstate NY.. a wife and kids later and no more sports car. Long story and I hope to get a 350Z... but I would never NEVER drive it in a fluffy snow strorm. My 240 would get stuck on a flat drive way, when you had to brush the inch of snow off the window, it couldn't make it over the pile. Try the pathfinder forum for fluffy snow driving.

Thanks for the info- I didn't realize the benefits, I'm still not convinced that the HID's won't be sufficient though...
I've lived in New Jersey for almost 25 years by the way... I do know a thing or two about snow.

I've thought it over, and now I'm seriously thinking about installing driving lights/fog lights on my Z. So I am curious to know if anyone else has already done this or has looked into it. I have the aero package so I don't think it would be wise to mount them underneath (clearance might also be a problem there as well). Also I don't want to cut holes into the front bumper area. Does anyone have any alternative ideas? I would like to mount them as far appart as possible, but would consider putting them in the corners of the grill as a last resort. Help me out here please!!!
