I’ve got an 03 Touring with 70k miles. I’ve only had it for 3 months, but here are the issues I’ve had:

Passenger window motor- replaced under warranty

Cannot turn the heat/ac off completely- something wrong with the ****-but can turn it down enough, so it’s no biggie

Wind noise from gap between driver window and window frame- but not a big deal either

But I’ll tell you one thing: the engine runs like new!!! I love this car, so the little annoyances are tolerable. I’m torn between leaving it stock and doing mods because it runs so nice for having 70k miles- I would be afraid that as soon as I start modding it, it would go down hill.

Default You Reep What You Sew Dude !

Never, Never Had a Problem ..You Treat It Good & It Will Treat You Better Yet !!
Some times think That maybe they Should Have Doubled the Price on the 1st 350 Z's .. So a lot of the 350z owners, would appreciate what they have for such a really reasonable price ...

Interesting thread . . .funny because I was considering a Corvette prior to buying my Z. Reality struck and I realized I couldnt afford the Vette. But I was looking on Corvetteforum.com (great bunch of people on that forum by the way) and they have tons of issues with Vette's as well. There were posts much like this one with people so dissapointed in the realibility of a Corvette and Chevrolet dealer service. I am sure similar threads would be found on any performance car site. Sports cars are meant to be driven hard, and ultimately have issues. Having said that, my 06 RSX Type S with 25k miles has been 100% trouble free. I hear Acura dealers provide great service, but I would never know. I hope my Z (which does make that clutch popping noise which really doesn't bother me) with 750 miles on it is the same.

07 touring 33k miles, 99.98% trouble free
every once in a while, the driver-side window will go all the way up (when i use the auto feature) and then it'll pop down a little bit... guess it needs to be adjusted?

33k miles and that the only prob.... *happy*

3X k miles, no probs (*knock on wood*) save for dying window motor and airbag light malfunction which was fixed under warranty anyways.

Edit* this is an 04.5 model.

I have a 05 Redline Touring 350Z, 29k miles on it, no problem except that when its really cold my Cd skips, I know theres a fix for that but i haven't taking it in yet, I have some warranty left and a extended that kicks in when this one runs out.

Some of the earlier 03s had a problem with tire feathering, suspension fix/mod has fixed that, windows electric motor problem, Radio poor quailty, clucht and 4-5 shifting problem, nose and hood stone chipping, early brake wear. The had a oil burning rumor in some Zs but most don't.

I went on a Porsche forum (bc I like them) and the same problems exist. Just be glad yo don't have to add oil every 3 gas fill up and this is considered norma, and heat enters the cab from from the engine, or the new Viper the exhaust burns your leg if you carelessly get in and out. I still won't mind driving a Viper!!

All cars have there problems, the 350Z had its, but form 05-up you don't have many problems. iwih.

06 Enthusiast I've had for coming up on a year. Only problem so far was interior coating coming off latch handle for the compartment right in the middle of the dash. The dealer tried to tell me with 2200 miles on the car this wasn't a warranty issue. Had to complain a bit but got it replaced.

No oil problems but only got about 4200 miles on her so far. Mainly gets driven back and forth to work and it's only about a 15 minute trip so it isn't getting much mileage
