pathetic. this however is not the opinion of all s2k owners shown by the s2k girl that is talking in the NE forums. she is pretty cool. Wait is that one of those new Civic convertibles... hahaha or better yet.. is that the new Insight convertible? I think these little bitches should try to do this to me and my friends. we would f*ck him up. this is an example of why I keep an aluminum bat in my car... probably never use it, but if some little ***** sees me goin for it, they better know I mean business.

You guys are pathetic. I thought the 350Z community was more mature than this. 
It was obviously a joke (read: fiction). The choice of 350Z was merely because the Nissan is the S2000's main competition.

No doubt I would have taken offense to the comment, were I a 350Z driver, but I really do believe this thread is fictional. I drive an S2000 and frequently get, "Is that the new del Sol/Civic convertible/Mustang/Miata," and am more than happy to correct them :evil grin:, but sometimes, a light-hearted joke has to be taken exactly as that: a joke.
Now, look at this story from the outside (neither an S2000 owner or a 350Z owner); it's DAMN funny, and you can't deny it.

It's responses like this that (let me say it for you) "get my panties in a bunch."
If you guys would spend a few days at S2ki.com, you'd know it's not a hostile environment for non-S2k drivers, much less Z enthusiasts. LA-Z and Integrate are regulars and well-respected 350Z owners in our forums, not to mention the countless Z32 (like myself) and previous owners.
You gotta give props when props are due, and I truly believe the S2000/350Z comparo is a damn close one. 100% driver's race. We had a 350Z Track as a loaner car for a few days, and before my 5th gear (<120mph) it was a driver's race. Granted, the Z had an advantage 120mph+ but it was never enough to soundly beat my S2000.
With that said, I don't understand the hostility toward the S2000 and its owners. I guess the comment about the toad hit a little too close to home. A car is a car is a car, and we all have our opinions. Sometimes, we exaggerate merely for literary effect, esp. when writing fiction. Can't we all get along?
