Cute pugs all! Here's a shot of mine and my wifie.

The pugs are strapped in btw. That doesn't mean they're completely safe but they should survive a minor accident. I drive much more carefully when they are in the car too.

I have a brindle pug. My daughter absolutely loves him. Kids are great that way. They don't see ugly for what it is.

He is a fun little dog, and I'm glad we got him. Especially brindle, that's a pretty rare coat. He's got a great temperament and I have to say he's a lot smarter than I thought he'd be. Our pug trained easily and learns new tricks very quickly. Of course, some of the tricks he knows, like how to get drawers open to steal food, he taught himself. If he wasn't so smart I'd think he had a second stomach where his brain should be, what with the way this dog eats.

He sheds way to much for me to want to put him in the Z, but that pic of yours poking their heads over the rear strut bar is pretty funny.

I put my two pekingese in the hatch area as well. I also tie their leashes to the strut bar, mostly to keep them from trying to come up front and scratching the plastc with their nails.

As long as they are strapped down I dont see a problem. My dogs (1 is my avatar with his old tether) wear a (quick release)body harness bolted to chassis with a padded mat that covers the rear speaker area and both small window areas. They have ridden in the back of the Z for (both long and short trips) years. They cant fly forward or lift off nor can they go back past the rear strut bar. They do love the stadium seating tho

Imo alot safer than how most people transport pets or kids or other misc items in other vehicles.

To the OP great looking Pugs sooo cute
Is that a welsh corgi in your hatch???? My girlfriend really really wants one of those, and they're so cute I might have to give in....especially if they fit in the Z hatch!

Just to clarify for some people. You need a harness to transport them somewhat safely. A leash could be even more gory than my grape analogy. The same logic applys to seat belts, thats why we dont have leashes attached to our head rests.

As cute as some dogs can be I would't let them sit in my Z.
