Default Newb! About to buy my first 350z! Transmission???

Hey guys, I'm about to buy my first 350z. I have been reading and searching the transmission problem that seems to be going around. I have heard of people around 105k on their first tranny and no problems. The 350z I am probably going to be purchasing has about 50k miles on it. I wanted to get any insight thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc on the tranny situation? Is there a recall on the tranny at all? I have searched and searched and not found a recall on that.

03's have common tranny issues that are usually annoying and not up to par with the rest of the car. if you hear alot of grinding on 3rd of 6th take it to a dealer for replacement of part number CD009. No there is no recall for this, just a very common problem

How dare you use a proper sample size. Isn't this a bannable offense?

I had my tranny replaced at 36k on my 2003 for the same reason of grinding into 3rd gear if that helps.

03 Track with 20K on it ... common 3rg gear issue. Is not disturbing , just annoying once in a while. I will set up an appointment with my local Nissan dealer to talk about the issue while I am a new owner and no clue if the warranty is still valid.

A recall is different than a TSB. There can be a boat load of TSBs on a car but no recalls. TSBs are tips or solutions to common customer concerns but no notice is issued to the owner of said vehicle. The dealership is privy to this info. The only TSB on tranny problems is for blown syncros. There is a revised clutch assembly along with a new flywheel and tranny. This is for 6mt only that I am aware of. And this may only apply to earlier 350 Z models 03-04?

My apologies for trying to interject some science. It will not happen again.
