My 06 is fine, no oil consumption issues. Originally sold 11/2005. 23k miles on it now. But if you can get an 07 for only a bit more, do it.

The usual SOP would be to get the newest car you can afford.

i would get the 07..It has more HP than the older ones. Also Greddy is going to be coming out with their TT kit for the HR's soon........In the recent Super Street mag. they had an HR motor with a prototype stroker kit(4.2L),intake manifold,TT kit and at 12psi., it was pushing 690RWHP.....

Any year, 'xept 'O3 or 'O6. Preferably 'O7--if your pocket can take it.

I don't understand this '06-bashing...I have an '06, and it's great. The TSB on oil consumption was for 2005 and 2006. However, not ALL cars experience this problem (I didn't). I personally like the RevUp engine (2006) it really loves to rev...up I mean unless you're going for FI, who wouldn't like variable valve timing on both intake & exhaust cams?
'07s are nice because of the HR engine, from what I understand it uses direct injection...

Dear RedlineGT: I'm not bashing the 'O6, m'friend, I'm a Zed lover and, there-
fore, love ALL of 'em. That said, why risk running into an "experimental 'O3".
or an "oil-burning 'O6". It's a matter of reducing the risks, old buddy! Actually,
IF I had the $$$, I'd get me an 'O8 one, or even wait for the 'O9er!!! BUT, this middle-class U.S. citizen (yeah, me!), ended up getting an 'O4 Touring
Coupe (13k!!!, $2O,5OO!!!---NO FEATHERING ISSUES!!!) I AM IN LOVE---with
my wife AND my Zed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you can afford 07 or 08, Id get that

If not the best other years are 04.5 and 05.

After doing my research, I just got a 04.5 track model only 47k miles and Im very pleased so far.

NAZ33: Oil-consumption issues in SOME of 'em, bro'--not all. IF it's one of those, all you gotta do is check oil level more often (say, twice a week, instead of once a wk.) It's STILL a great Sports car, otherwise!

I was looking for atleast an '05 when searching. I went to every dealer in the state to just try and find an '05 (or higher) Touring, and MUST be stick. I was fine with Red,Black,Blue,Yellow. And the dealers were all about selling me an '05+ base. No one could find me a Z with just those few simple things. So found mine listed in CA on autotrader with about 6,700 miles and bought it.

So all in all good luck man!! Either way I don't think you will be disappointed!!
