Default UGH! i have had my Z for 2 months

2 months and then i rear end a lady....
3 lane road and i am in the far left Lane, truck next to me
she comes from a side street on the right side comes all the way to my side
it is a rainy morning and i cant stop in time
and to top it off, the insurance company says its dual liability

at least i got the proverbial first wreck out of the way i guess.... freaking gay

(actually got out lucky with only a slight crack in my front bumper but still just sucks to have this happen in my Z)

sorry to hear that, old people need to have their eyes checked every 2 years anyways, too many times i have almost hit a senior citizen because they pull out at the last second or fail to signal

You're actually lucky your state has dual liability, many don't, it is either 100% your fault or not. Most rear end cases are almost automatically against the person that hit the car from behind. Did she cross the other 2 lanes into your lane all in one shot? That is illegal to do no matter what state your in I believe.

yeah she crossed the other 2 lanes to get to mine in 1 shot, when the first lane was wide open, and by law your supposed to go to the first available lane.

although i just got word that she has lied to the insurance company and said that she was already traveling down the street and i just ran up on her............... in an intersection.......

(it was just while traveling down a street)

i get the feeling this is not gonna be fun

That sucks man. Sounds like the chick can't drive..I hate those people. Also, sounds like you are going to have to watch this closely if she is already trying to make it sound like it was no fault of hers.

I don't really see the dual liability, seeing as she illegally crossed two lanes of traffic to get in front of you....You said it right...Ugh

Good luck.

wow dude...i'm sorry to hear about that...i just had something happen to me also...owned my 07 Z for about 5 months now...got rear ended...

but to my amazement the lady was extremely nice about it, she called her insurance company they called me...asked me how i was and if i could describe the accident and a day later gave me a claim # and asked me to drive the car to my dealership to get it repaired...

HOPEFULLY...thats all there is to it for me...

but good luck man...glad your okay though...

I got rear ended by an 18 year old hottie two years ago; wasn't nearly as much fun as it sounds. But her parents insurance gave me $650 for what was really just a scratch. Put it towards new wheels. Think of the hottie every time I see the scratch.

I'm not familiar with how dual liability works, but if it means she fixes her car and you fix yours, then I'd say this is a great opportunity for you. Don't even try to collect from your insurance company. Instead, buy a Nismo V2 front bumper. You know you want one.
