I too have thought about it after realizing why people say cars lose most of their values in the 1st 2 years or so. My 2002 Maxima (bought near end of 2001) has lost of ton its value. 
But on the other hand... given that the Z is a sports car, I really doubt that most will be been babied or gently driven... which makes me really hesistant to buy one used at all.
