The Hotchkis springs I had with my TVS kit ( I kept the sways and sold the springs) weighed more than the stock springs on my 05'. I used RS-R Ti-2000 springs and those were only a little lighter than the stock springs.

BTW, My Z weighed 3182 with 1/4 tank of gass on Moroso's scale. (I think my 15-16lb wheels are the only other weight-shaving I have done.)

How's that Non-Grand Touring with your non-existent brembo brakes treating you? You should have just stuck with the riced out celica.

BTW ... you fail at life.

owned.

I'm sure mine probably weighs the same or more than in stock form, but the 300+ extra horsepower helps offset that. :)

I should weigh it one of these days.

Just the spare and tools weighed ~37lbs. When I stripped the interior it came out to around 15lbs. Plus, the wiper motor was about 3lbs and the stereo was about 5lbs.

I did the same. I'd say both cats weigh 40 lbs total. Test pipes weigh probably weigh 10-15 total. So you're looking at 25 to 30 lbs total weight savings.

redmike_02 02-08-2008 07:11 PM

3160lbs with a 1/2 tank of gas. All I removed was the spare and jack at that time. I need to weigh it again now that she has lost some more weight and the new suspension setup.

Damn, I love that! His car is a POS salvage that didn't even come with a spare tire & jack yet he tries to rag on others about taking it out!

Plus, like Nexx said, most aftermarket wheel set-ups won't work with the donut so it's useless & just adds weight.

PLEASE sell your Z o6black350z, you disgustingly disgrace our Z reputation. Go get your Celica back or better yet, go get a Civic Si or a Honda Fit.

Oh yeah, my weight deletes are.......ummm... my spare & jack, lol. Getting a Braille battery soon, too.

Every 100lbs= .1 sec 1/4 mile
Every little counts.

terrorist22 02-09-2008 10:06 PM

I have an 06 base.

Amuse Exhaust weighs around 16 lbs; it probably saved around 30 lbs. Volk CE28N 18 x 9.5 all around; that's saving about 7 lbs (conservative guess) ach corner. I don't know how much the stock shocks weigh, but I have Cusco Zero-2 Ti's and they supposedly save around 4 lbs a corner compared to their standard version. Finally, I have removed the spare tire and tools which is about another 40 lbs.

I guess overall I removed about 100 lbs not counting the coilovers, and haven't factored weight added w/ a spacer, heavier Nismo y-pipe (from stock), any weight chances from stock Bridgestone RE040s to Falken Azens ST115, and any weight changes from changing the intake system.
