the manual for the track model is different than the other Z's. and says it weighs UNDER 3,200lbs. but alot of sites say its over 3,200lbs...

Wow. That car must so light now that the only thing you can do to get it even lighter is become a licensed organ donor.

Takes major cajones to do that...congrats and looks awesome. That assumes that you made the car look like that without the "help" of thieves, of course :D

It's getting lighter... (I still have a ways to go)... I just ordered a 11.5 lbs braille battery...

I've been holding back on some volks.... :)

Weird...instead of makin' 'em lighter, they keep adding weight to 'em, with all
the implications (especially MPG!).

Great ... more noobs getting "salvaged" Zs and claimings they're something they're not.

How's that Non-Grand Touring with your non-existent brembo brakes treating you? You should have just stuck with the riced out celica.

BTW ... you fail at life.

:whatever:
Do you realize how completely arrogant you sound? You think having a Grand Touring Z with brembo brakes makes you something he, or anybody else here with a non-grand touring Z, is not? Congrats on paying grand extra 7 grand for some brembo brakes and a sub-par Bose stereo system that would have cost you half that had you bought it after market. Get over yourself.

You really want to lose some weight......................Dont even drive the Z.You just lost 3500lbs.

ColdZ 04-16-2008 02:17 PM

Anyone have experience with the braille battery? Not sure if it's worth it to pay that much for a battery with only a 1 year warranty.

Depends on what your doing with it. If you are building a race car, sure its worth it, every little bit of weight loss counts. For a street driven car where it doesnt matter so much your probably just better off with a Optima Yellow Top or something, which you can get with a 2 year warranty for a bit less. Weight difference is about 15 lbs between the Braille B2015 and the Yellow Top with close to the same amp ratings and such, otherwise.

Yeah that is pretty stupid. I had my rear left tire blow out on me going 75 on the freeway in Phoenix. Was not one of my best days. :icon22:

Each to their own I didn't buy a $33k Sports Car for it to look like its a Lotus Elise on the inside or a S2K SR baren no radio. I like the 350Z for its overall power, abilities, amenties, looks, feel and handling. If I wanted cheap speed I'd mod out a Honda Civic si but I wanted a 350Z with all the trimmings that I like in any car. I have a 05 Touring.

Now for you guys concern about 0-60 or quarter or Track times I see why? But damn the Z is such a Pretty car to deface for a few 100ths of seconds or seconds improvement in time/speed. Each to their own.

AJ23Az - Now that will make bu++ pucker up!! You are a lucky man/person.
