What is your favorite music for driving FAST in your Z?
............
this is my outcry
from dust to dust we will return
the flesh is temporary
the soul is eternal.................
Good stuff!
not too many votes for electronica... now that's sonic motivation. although 90% of the stuff in 'this' section is monotonous crap, so you gotta know who and what you're looking for.
as SD350ZEE stated: drum & bass / jungle
-breakbeat (if you like crystal method, this is sort of their genre)
-trance (oakenfold, tiesto, chemical bro's, warp bro's... countless others)
for anyone interested or curious try downloading:
"BT - Never Gonna Come Back Down" (Gone In 60 Seconds, Turbo Dreams 2)
"Warp Brothers - We Will Survive (Aquagen Remix)"
"Warp Brothers - Blast The Speakers"
"Trapt - Headstrong" (oh, how did THIS get in here... lol)
Now this is when I want to drive FAST (85+ mph).
I listen to everything else the other 90% of the time, can't speed ALL the time lol.
Peace!

Rock an Roll is ok for drivin:
Tool-- if I'm not in the best of moods
Free Bird--one of the best songs of all time
or most classic rock
but electronic is where it's at!
Check out a Dieselboy or Aphrodite cd for some fast Drum and Bass *around 150 to 160 bpm
Check out a Frankie Bones or Nigel Richards cd for some good techno *inbetween 125 and 140 bpm
Simply Jeff or Rennie Pilgrim for good breakbeats *around 130 bpm
or if that's a little too much for ya, then get a Paul Oakenfold or Chemical Brothers cd---little more mainstream

I burn my own "custom " CDs using a variety of groups. On most you will things such as;
-Dire Staights: Walk of life
-Fabulous T-Bords: Powerfull Stuff
-boy george-Karma Chamelion (SP?)
-Commadores: Nightshift (Club version)
-My oldest Sons Choral group: South African Trilogy
-My youngest Sons solo with Choral Group: I'm Free
-Bellemy Brothers: I dared the Lightning
-Sacred Spirit: Dela, Dela
-Billy Joel: Various
-CCR: Various but "Proud mary" is favorite.
A hard driving beat & diversity of sounds are common threads.

I love these posts!
Some lists bring memories and others make me wanna go shoppin' (and ya know us girls like ta go shoppin').
Please try some o' these sonic morsels:
Jacob's Dream..the first CD is the better of their two (so far).
Alabama Thunderpussy..raw an' righteous.
...and for all those fans of Jesse James Discovery Channel chopper runs;
Fu Manchu..heavy metal fuzz toned guitars, just like during the 'weed wars'. *blushing*
While those are all fun, this little ditty is for those road rage moments; Overkill's F#<k You
BTW: the subject line is Alice Bowie's Ear Ache My Eye (Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke movie)
*this chick don't do la-la muzik*
Struttin' it proud..Drivin' 'em wild..an Playin' it loud ;-)

Anything by Swervedriver. Now that their r.i.p. - the lead singer's
gone on to Toshack Highway - beautiful stuff!
Other then that:
Love & Rockets last little known album - LIFT - specifically track
#11.
Anything by Faithless is pretty awesome too.

It's kinda geeky, but I listen to the Initial D soundtracks in my car. Really gets the blood going.
