Exactly. I wouldn't want my car back after someone else "drove it like they stole it." I'd much rather take the insurance and get a new one.

Sorry this happened to you, dude. I can only imagine what I would want to destroy after finding something like that out.

Default Humm - That Sucks

I'm sorry Ralphus...

It does suck.... I guess I've been lucky...

Except the 1996 Maxima that had 21 Susan B Anthony's taken from the Little Coin keepers in the center console.

What can you do, It was my fault for not removing them..

Cheers Amy -

That's exactly what I figured and my law enforcement buddies have said the same thing. I take out anything that I'd miss. The car, if stolen, won't be missed. I'll hope its never recovered in 30 days or whatever the insurance deems and then collect.

Inside positions or insider buddies are always the most sought after by thieves. Its the easiest way to rip off property.

you must be able to get some sort of insurance $ for that crap.

sorry dude.... IMHO even if they gave me the $ to fix it, it wouldn't matter - if that happened to my Z, it'd be dead to me now....

no **** man.... for all you know he could have floored it in neutral and watched it bounce off the rev limiter for a minute or two.... you just don't knwo what this jacka$$ did.

Things he did to it now may not manifest themselves until months or years later.

You need to fight hard with the body shop and insurance co.

I'd be asking for a factory new engine, tranny, all new interior panels and upholstery, new wiring harnesses.....

Don't go easy on them.... if they give you **** don' be afraid to get a lawyer and let them you you are and that they'll be responsible for attorney and court fees when they lose.

You need your car back to perfect condition.... anything less is a compromise. DO NOT COMPROMISE!
