Default 27.1 Mpg...

- that's the mileage I just got on my Z! It is my DD and sees probably 90% of it's miles come from the highway.

I haven't managed to get numbers like this since I had my spec-v several years ago.

My WRX usually got around 25.

This was also the first time that the MPG indicator was actually close to the manually calculated rate.

I did just get snow tires and smaller rims installed so that could have something to do with it but the high mileage is still pretty amazing to me.

That's pretty good if it's accurate. I get about 21.8 mpg and I drive an hour of traffic in the morning and then drive it a little hard on the way home.

I get about 23. I'm still kinda happy about that. Escpecially with the Z being a wicked affordable sportscar.

sounds about right for strictly highway miles. I do 25-29 on the highway, 18-21 in the city.

18mpg-24mpg is the best I can get and less depend how I drive. Some of us are doing it right 26-29 mpg hw driving thats pretty good gas mileage better Nissan predicted I think they stated 18-27mpgs on sticker anyway. I'm close so I'm not complaining but I hear the 400hp Vette does better then 25-26mpg hw driving.

I could have done a search and found some other thread about someone else's mileage but how fun would that be?

Besides, I guarentee there isn't one thread out there that talks about the gas mileage I got from this last fillup, while driving 90% highway (10-20% of which was in pretty heavy traffic), which is better than I got on my WRX, and I haven't seen since my spec-v (from several years ago).

that does not sound right, even on break in miles, which i would assume would be better, cause you are probably shifting at 3k or less

When I first got my Z a couple years ago I tried driving like the owners' manual reccommended (you should all try it- it isn't fun at all!). I did it for 1 month or approx. 800 mi. and averaged 33mpg combined city/highway. With my normal driving habits I only get 20.8mpg.

Here we go again.

So my .02 on MPG... On long road trips, if keep it under 80 MPH & keep the AC turned off, I average 28 MPG.
