I was told they were supposed to arrive on 8/19, this was 2 weeks ago, I'll try to confirm if there has been a change.

 

Check Jaxport.com it has a link for arriving vessels that tells the name of the ship and its cargo. It was last updated 8/1 and shows arrivals thru 8/11. I would expect that it would be updated again shortly.

 

Do we know who will be listed in the "Agent/Stevedore" column? I would assume Nissan, but might it be the "shipper?" Inquiring minds want to know.

I got word that the Z's have arrived in JAX and my VIN is on it.

 

The JAX port schedule was finally update, it looks like three ships came in with cars:

What are the odds that I would post that message after checking the site only to have them update an hour later. That is hilarious. I assume you are thinking that the "Autos" are the Zs?

Well, on a previous post I saw where they were expecting 100 Z's to come to JAX so I would assume that on one of those 3 ships are (were) our Z's. If everything goes OK we might see them by the end of next week. Man I am getting pumped The long wait is almost over.

How did you get word that your vin was on the ship?

My "Z" as well as ZGATOR's "Z" are also suppose to be on the ship.

Please let us know who you spoke to and if you have any additional information on how long it will take the cars to reach South Florida.

The guess at this time is they might reach south florida by the end of the month which would be next week!!!!! It depends on how long they take to clear customs and install options. The NAV people are going to delay us!!

 

According to the nyk line website, the nyk line carrier that arrived in Jacksonville today departed from Yokohama. I'm pretty sure that's the Japanese port the Z's have been leaving from. Looks like there's a good chance some Z's have arrived in Jacksonville.

 

Yokohama is the port where they are supposed to depart from, it is the closest to the plant. The ship did arrive and the Z's are there, it would be nice if someone that lives there could take a look if possible, I know that with post sep 11 security measures it is harder to go into ports and such, but it might be worth a shot.

 

Mine is getting delivered to Lakeland. My dealer told me first week of September, but I haven't gotten a Vin yet.

 

The delivery I got back a couple of weeks ago was 9/6 +- 5 days. I got my VIN almost 3 weeks ago, tell you dealer that he should be able to give you a VIN by now, tell him to get report KMD3210-R2 or R3 from the "Nissan Host System".

I too have my vin and my delivery date is the same as yours. I was just wondering if you had a connection at the port.

Thanks for the info Westpak. I'll pass that on to my dealer. Hopefully it will speed up the process of him getting some more detailed info.

 

My dealer gave me a date of 9/4 or 9/5 +- 2 days. So hopefully it will be here soon as well. Time to start interest rate shopping!
