The ebay add I asked a question on it just to see the responce this is the question "Quoted"
Is says in your add that it was turboed. I was wondering what kind of turbo is on it. What type of intercoolers does it have? Can you take a pic of the turbo and intercooles for me?

Had an experience similar to this at a dealership when I was shopping for my Z. They had one on the lot they had added Nismo exhaust/intake/shitty chrome wheels too and the salesman tried to tell me "the boys in the shop say this thing has over 375 hp now". I just smiled and left

Alot of "car" salesman.....are just plain salesman (many with no knowledge of cars)...working on a car lot. I've talked to a number of them who don't have a clue about cars. They will tell me stupid things like "This car has steel belted tires...", like it's a "feature". Yeah, no s*** sherlock, so do all other passenger rated tires, lol.

At least he wasn't lying out of his @ss

I guess its just a job to him. Although, personally, I prefer to double check my facts before I have to present them.

me and my buddy kinda looked at each other and snickered.

then my friend asked him "oh really? we didn't know that, how many pounds of boost is it running?"

and he goes "uhhh huh? how many foot pounds of torque?, ya its got 270"

and i say "no no, how much boost do they come with? i thought they weren't turbo'ed"

he said "i don't know that one, but i can check for you. then he says its turbo'ed cuz even though its using the same engine as the Infiniti g35, it makes a lot more power."

umm..... is this guy retarded?

after the test drive he opened the hood for us to see. After he told us about it being on Ward's top 10 engines for 13 years (at least he got something right), i was tempted to ask him to show me where the turbo was... but i just drove the car so i was too happy to stick his face in his own ****.

oh ya, as we were walking away from the car, he couldn't help himself and told us the car came with halogen lights.

nissan dealers for the win!
pssst, no one cares

not too sure of the legal mumbo-jumbo...but if you could get writing or some type of paperwork claiming the existence of a turbo, buy the car, then hit them for false advertising and force them to install a turbo for free?

I am assuming not, but they should have to pay for their own lack of knowledge. They probably take simple folk all day by making stuff up.

You might want to find out what exactly a tubroed is, first...

I googled it and couldn't find anything...

Edit: Well done on fixing the posting title - it has been driving me nuts since it went up.

The sad part is that my local nissan dealer probably would have done the same thing. I've heard a couple of things from their sales guys that just made me LOL.

I had a similar experience a while back, when I was looking at a Z that the parts dept had put a bunch of NISMO parts on an 07 (body, wheels, exhaust, vinyl). The salesman said that it had a Greddy supercharger on it, to which I replied "do you mean turbo", and he said "no its supercharged cause Greddy doesnt make a turbocharger". I may have let it go if he hadnt so, matter of factly, corrected me. So I informed him that Greddy doesnt make a supercharger and this car wasnt equiped with any such device, and he needs to stop telling people that. He said "oh dang that must have been on another car that we already sold" (ya buddy). Beyond that he had no Idea what an HR motor was.
