So feeling inspired to do something this weekend I went to the local Hobby store and picked up a new shell for my RC car and some paint. Here is what I created. After doing the red tail lights i realised I should have let the paint dry some more after seeing the red seep under the silver paint. Oh well it still looks great and next time ill know to wait longer. The windows and headlights are done in a translucent smoke and the tails in a translucent red so im gonna wire some LED's up to um.
I think i am going to have to get a z body for my RC car. I never really put to much time into the body of the RC car cause i am always crashing it, however seeing your skilled craftsmanship has brought a change of heart.
I have a Traxxas Nitro4-Tec 3.3 all wheel drive 2 speed 4 wheel indipendent 70+mph
i think thats what i have. som ***** flies lol. I need to get a new Z body for it and pimp it out like mine just havent had much time to do it lately. as you can see it gets used alot haha. I wanna just clean it up and make it look pimp and set it up on my desk for looks. Then impress people when they dont believe that ***** will do 65+
Tip for the wheel funnels next time: Just trace out the wheel well with an x-acto knife, then pull one corner and it should rip off following the line you just traced. Makes a more perfect half-circle and cleaner arch.
Oh and heres what I was running right before I stopped running RC cars:
