I was at ZCar.com and there are several people saying they are giving up their Z's for a number of reasons. What are these folks thinking? I mean, wait for the car, then if you don't like it, turn around and sell it or just don't buy it! I hope there aren't any jittery people here. If you need reassurance we are here to help you.

 

Those people are NUTZ! I think they are just there to post bs and disrupt the forum.

 

Although I feel for the people who have to back off of their Z for reasons outside their control, if anything it will decrease the number of people out there who drive them.

I would like to turn heads for a little while before this car becomes too common. Although they are still cool cars, the 90s Zs just don't catch anyone's eye anymore, and most of the ones I see have been turned into "Fast and Furious" rejects.

 

I'd sure hate to be one of those unlucky souls who have to give the Z up. I'd have to get rid of some other things but the Z would have to stay.

My 90' TT Z still turned heads up until the end (3 months ago I sold it). I'm sure my 350Z will do the same thing for years to come. Looking forward to it

 

I can hardly read zcar.com anymore. Theres maybe one post in ten thats actually written well enough to read, and I'm not even talking about content...

Honestly, the only thing that would make me jump ship is if I thought there was something else that offers everything the Z is going to offer and more, and is coming out in a reasonable time frame. At the moment most of the stuff that interests me is still a good 2 years out, so I might as well drive a Z until then. 2 years is about my record for keeping a car anyway... hehe.

Alternitively if I suddenly become a millionaire, I'd probably get something else. Or, perhaps, if the opposite happens, I will get a used schwin bike.

The people cancelling their orders for good reasons I have no problem with. The others, well, to be honest it's for the best. They clearly werent ready to get the car. It's one of the good things about having to wait 8 months, you're left with the people who REALLY want them when the time comes. I'm expecting we'll have a great owners community come september.

yo...I have thought about it...mainly cuz the car will be 60% of my yearly income, instead of the magical 50%. The pure economic sense tells me that i am an idiot.....With my income, I am in the market for an RSX....on the other hand, I am single, no kids, and my mortgage is low. In fact, here in san diego its so low youd have a heart attack. I also have money saved up so that I put a huge chunk down first, then the payments are reasonable.

So, I understand about the backing out. Someone in my position is barely able to afford this car and still maintain shoppng habits and stuff like high speed modem and cell phone etc. With my speculated budget, Im basically screwed if I have a big emergency like getting robbed or being thrown into a mexican jail

 

Bang for the buck.An affordable sports car.From the 240Z to the 350Z that has not changed much.

 

Even if you have lots of money you're screwed if you fall into the hands of Mexican authorities. Although it's better to have bribe money than not.

As for the Z... Sometimes the end justifies the means.

as i was reading, i had a thought, that all those member were came from one person, mean that a person use several usernames to disturb the board and discourage the people who order the z, so all the posts were made by one person and he's trying to spamming the board with full of his own opinion(bs) and why he doesn't like the z.

As in a logical way, i don't see any sense in his speech at all, like when someone corrects him with a few mistaken point he doesn't reply cuz he feels embrassed..........

 

about Zcar.com...I can't stand it anymore...the more I read the more upset I get. There are the few there talking mad s*&t about the Z. I just don't understand why they are there, if they hate the car so much. This is the only place I can go and read up on info about the 350z without haters. This is my first new car, for about 10 years I have only brought and own used cars. I'm so excited about the car coming soon that I'm having dreams about it, and I don't want to go where other Z lovers are and here trash talk trash about the car. Sure, pointing out this and that is ok...but don't hate.....if hate leave... sorry, just so upset..

 

I've found the best way to not be annoyed by the zcar.com posts is to not read that site anymore.

 

I'm finished with that Zcar.com. After yesterday I am thoroughly discusted with that site. What's his name, Vince, does a lousy job of moderating it. And jmanz's site here is really picking up and he's doing a great job. Woot jmanz!!

 

even if i was thinking of "abandoning ship" i wouldn't do it now. i've waited this long for the thing, only double how long i've already waited, and it will be here! and there's NO WAY - unless i'm completely BROKE by then - that i'm giving it up. especially after seeing how awesome everyone here is - it makes me want to keep it even more. this is a nice mature group of people - unlike everyone over at sleaZyCAR.com ...nah, just kidding. but seriously - all the haters over at that site reminded me of why i don't go there but ONCE a month. i figure - what can i get there that i can't get here? but back to the original point of my post - HELL NO, i'm not thinking of abandoning ship...

 

yeah i agree that there are some faults that the moderator didn't do his job well, and that's y they got all the flame starter in there to mess around...........

mind that most dealers are taking at least $1000 deposit. Do
you think they are throwing $1000 away just for some silly
reason. There is one guys try to sell his pre-order for $10,000.
