Talking First boat to hit east coast!

I just got back from the regional office in Somerset, which by the way no longer has a 350Z out front. Anyway they were nice enough to answer some questions for me and let me know that the first shipment of Z's for the east coast was due to land at Port Newark on the 21st!!!!! Anyone able to go get some pictures? Man I can't wait now!

Thats interesting since it has been reported that Z's are hitting the port in Jacksonville on 8/19. Wonder if its the same vessel. Did they tell you the name of the ship??

I bet it is the same ship... I think the same ship that hit LA hit Tacoma and Vancouver as well. The east coast ship is hitting Houston, Jacksonville, and Newark... hmmm...

How many days does it take to process the Z at the port?

Regretfully no names. I didnt want to push the issue and have him realize he might not have been supposed to say that.

I was told it would take some time like 1-2 weeks due to the fact that it would be the first shipment and they wanted to make sure everything is OK.

We need to keep an eye on the deliveries on the west coast knowing that they apperently came in last weekend, and when they start showing up at dealers we can guess about a week later for us on the east coast.

21st of this month.

What I would like to know is if the states in the middle of the USA like Louisiana will be getting their cars from the west coast or east coast.

It all depends what region they are in, I believe Louisiana would be part of Southeastern if so they would get from Jacksonville probably along with the other states in their region such as FL,GA, SC,TN, AL, I am guessing I can't remember the states in the southeastern region but should be close.

Oh man, that's great news. I can just feel the keys in my hand already. And from there, I'll be going straight to the Z show at O'Brien Nissan in Hawthorne, NJ on Sept. 8th.

Check and see where your dealers Maximas come from. They're made in Japan, so their POE should be the same. It is on their Morony(sp) label.

In Chicago, Maximas come from LA port, so I'm assuming MY Z will come from the left coast.

I'd say if it takes 2 weeks, for unloading at port, processing and trucking to various dealers then my dealer(Baltimore) was correct in saying first week in Sept.

Although Baltimore is very close to Newark.
