I had a dude message me on youtube and ask how my new 320Z was.

 

I have had that said a few times. It usually goes like this:

them:"Is that your 300zx out there" or " So you drive that white 300 zx out there"

me: "Yea, thats my 350z"

I pretty much correct them all sneak attack style. I just correct them when I answer but I answer as if they said 350z instead of 300zx. The 300zx is a beautiful car in my opinion so it doesnt bother me at all.

 

some old guy i work with asked me if that was my cheap datson out in the parking lot, the guy has an old fast back mustang and he always messes with my dad because he has an old camaro

 

HAHA... Be thankful that you still get put in the nissan family... I was outside washing my ZR today.. and an older gentleman and his wife pull up next door.. I didnt really pay much attention... I just heard them pulling up... The man gets out of his Escape and walks halfway over to me an starts yelling.. "HEY" so i look at him.. and im thinking i have no clue who you are so i look down the other end of street and i am the only one out there... So i look back at him and he says... "Hey.. nice car is that one of them PONTIACS" LOL... I replied... No its a Nissan 350Z... He said.. "Oh ok.. NICE CAR" LOL......

 

I have to agree. I think the 300ZX is one of the best looking cars of its time. To me, they were way ahead of their time..

 

what made it worse is when i took off the nissan burgers. i always get "who makes that car"

 

Happens to me all the time and doesn't bother me one bit.

At least they know something about the Z.

 

I'll trade my 350 for a TT 300zx convertible anytime of the day.

 

lol my boss man says I have a nice 300zx, lol. the problem with this is, he tells me he USED to have a 300zx. now this confuses me. If the man had one, why would he mistake mine for one???

 

Hasn't happened to me, but, as others have said, the 300zx is a beautiful car that was way ahead of its time and I absolutely love them, so it wouldn't bother me one bit. I plan on buying a 300ZXTT in the near future to have as another weekend car...nothing like popping out the t-tops and going for a drive!

 

Had a police officer write 04' 300ZX on my fix it ticket.

That was kind of wierd to see.

Also had an old-timer ask me "Does your 300Z still have the straight six?"

 

Rofl, I've had that happen to me. A girl I graduated with was like, is that 1 of the new Altima's? I want one so bad!

 

when the shipping company picked up my car to get shipped to GTM, the description was 2005 Nissan 300ZX. Just kinda looked at the guy and didn't say anything

 

i have this happen to me very often. But I just wonder,.... If toyota comes out with another supra and it is called a supra rst, will we call it a supra still? And will it offend the guy that just spent his pocketbook to buy the newer model of the same car we all know about and call a supra or say, the new supra, or is that one of those supras? As they do the Z. The new Z. or the 300Z , or just a Z. They get the idea.

 

That's ok cause I had a police officer tell me I had a "nicer Lexus version of the Z"

 

I wonder these people will call the GT-R if they ever see it

 

i hate it more when people say oh hey is that your 300? I usually respond with oh no i drive that nissan over there.

 

No sorry mine is the sports car not the bentley wanna be with 28 in chrome wheels.

 

While standing in back of my Z while filling up my tank this guy comes up, looks at the car says: "Nice car, what is it, a 300z?" HE WAS LOOKING RIGHT AT THE 350Z EMBLEM... lol. I just smiled and then I think he realised what he had done... we had a short talk about how he liked one, wanted one, etc. but I've noticed that happening a few times.

I also get the "Oh, is that a Nissan?" while they're starting at the Nissan insignia on my front bumper...

 

no i wouldnt irk me.....i would show them pics of my old 300zx

and if i didnt drive my Z everyday to work id pick a 300zx TT over a 350z any day of the week, hands down!!!!
