Default Took my Z to 130mph last night

I was driving back from Laguna last night and had a chance to take the Z past 100mph. I just kept hitting the gas until i go to the interchange with the 133. I was amazed to see just how smoothly this car runs at 130mph. I held that speed for a good 45 seconds. No rattles, shakes, or anything of the sort. I felt as comfortable driving it at 130 as I do driving the car at 40mph. Anyone else have similar experiences?

its supposed to be 155, but a few members on here have taken it to 160+. They blame it on speedo error at that speed, but if the speedo is in error, the computer would still think you were going 160, above the 155 cutoff. Maybe it measures cutoff point by what RPM you are driving in at which gear, but if thats the case why doesnt the speedo resemble that instead of tire revolutions? It confuses me.

Consistantly take the car to the mid 120's but only broke the 130's twice on 2 short highway runs with a mustang gt on the highway. held mid 130's for about a minute or so each time and it was definitely a rush compared to 120's but still felt very stable and sure footed. Probably wont be doing it that much again unless the situation really calls for it but it definitely was fun.

Well fastest for me so far is 119 mph. But saturday driving to a friends I took it on a off ramp ( 2 lane which actually turns) there was absolutely nobody on it and I took the entire ramp at 115 even turning the car was so stable I was amazed. It felt like I was doing 60.

Take it to 150...

130 will feel slow.

The speed limit then becomes a CRAWL...

After the tsb for feathering at 90mph I can feel the tires are not balanced. I know there is a way to balance tires for high speed, but what balancing machine should the shop have in order to do it?

I am not absolutely certain, but I think I was right around 5K. The engine didn't seem to stress much.

Tell me about it. In my old Jetta, 100 used to be an adventure.

All-time high was 143MPH fighting an E46er M3.

Now I can't do less than 90

Default 105mph

Not even 1100 miles and when I passed a 16 wheeler I kept going and when my wife asked my speed I was shocked to see
105..really quick but could not get over how stable and smooth. I think I am going to have to be careful driving this car. Penna. state police take a real dim view of these speeds!!!

I've taken her up to 150 on the 10 freeway at 3:30 am. I was racing this white 300zx, he smoked me hard! when I got close to him after he had a big ol stillen sticker all i could think of was gad damn turboes! but ya even at 150 the stability was amazing... felt the same as going 80 on my dad's mercedes, it was so crazy i love it!

I took mine saturday to 145 racing a bmw, civic, and a boxter. Hell of a lot of fun. Smooth as anything. I dont think they were expecting me to pull away like that. It was on the Tollway, if you know Dallas the south part of the tollway is perfectly straight and about 13 miles.

I've held 110 consistenly for a while on runs down to the beach in NJ, but I don't head much higher than that. My dad is a cop so that affords me some flexibility, but nothing will get me out of a 130mph ticket on the parkway!

Car does feel amazingly stable at speed though. I can't complain.

130 mph only?

I've taken the car up to 130 a few times already.
Highest I've gotten up to was about 154 mph, I've gotten up to 150 maybe 4 or 5 times, but I'm slowing down a LOT these days now that cops are all over the area..

Yes... after my Z32TT and driving other cars... the stability of this Z33 at high speeds is simply amazing... and far superior.

I still remember my 1st run... WOW... glued?@
