Though I'm a Z-fan through and through the Corvette is an upgrade to the Z in almost every way imo, that and the 911 Porsche. A used Corvette is probably the only option I'd consider over a new 370 or 08 350Z, I wouldn't want too many miles on the Vette because it could be dogged.
But for $30k-$40K if you don't get the Vette engine compression checked you are missing the boat the same for a Z-car. If its too good a deal it might not be a Good Car.
But if everything checks out I wouldn't hate on ya, trading a ZR even for a Corvette. Which is probably the best deal in a near or Super Car out there, until the GTR arrive. Even then you will be right in the ball park.
