Buy a beater for everyday transport, then keep the Z. Seriously, for under $2k you should be able to pick up a fairly decent honda-ish grocery-getter that will last for years. It will probably get killer mileage and I gotta say there is something liberating about having a vehicle that you don't care if someone parks too close to it.
