Default Still A Thrill After 2-3 Years?

i am thinking there is a very good chance that by next saturday i will have a new 2008 Nissan 350Z in San Marino Blue with Frost leather. one thing i did want to ask is whether or not you Z drivers still look forward to driving the Z after 2-3 years of ownership?

the reason being is that i could go with a smaller car (Toyota Yaris, for example) to get some gas mileage, but my reasoning is why spend all that money on a car that all its going to do for you is get some good mpg, and after 2-3 years it would be dullsville. why not spend more and get something that, after 2-3 years, you would still look forward to driving?

i already have a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon as my mpg car. it does have 119,000 miles but, knock on wood, seems to be running ok. my buddy up work has a 1990 Honda with 278,000 miles that he still uses as his DD.

just wondering what you other Z drivers think? do you still look forward to getting in the 350Z after a few years of ownership? or does that thrill even fade when a 350Z is involved?

thanks for any thoughts,
Mike

When you get bored you can mod it that'll bring back some excitement.

If you are concerned about the thrill fading, you should pick up an 03 on the cheap. Then if the thrill fades you won't take a big hit when you sell.

...not objective...still in honeymoon with my Touring Coupe; barely going on
three months owning it, so my opinion's biased (in favor of the Zed, of course)
Good luck.

Well if you drive most any car everyday, you're bound to get used to it.

If I don't drive the Z for awhile, next time I'm in it, I remember that it really is a fun car to drive.

Had mine since March of 03. Still loving every minute of it and still proud to be a Z owner (currently around 80k miles). I get about 25 mpg street/freeway mix. Just the fact that it requires premium fuel hurts my wallet. But other than that, enjoy the ride.
