I can't see... out my Z!
I set my mirrors using the technique from the following link:

It's a bit different from what I've done with other cars in the past, and it took a bit to get accustomed to, but now I can see 360 degrees with having to move my head.

Anyone thought of using your body as a mirror??? I am 14 and ride in the passenger seat every time and I use the body to see if there is a car on the right for the driver. My Mom's Sebring convertible has major blind spots. Just look in the side mirror at the paint and you will know.
Yes I have been using the "mirrors out" setup, where you can't see any part of your own car, for some time now. It's totally normal to me and not uncomfortable at all.
I've moved both side mirrors way out, farther than on any of my other cars. Everyone is correct --it helps alot!! Tested the new setup out tonight --WORKS!
I believe some of my "problem" is just getting use to a 'sports car'. My other cars are a '00 Maxima SE and my work car is a '92 Civic Si --obviously nothing like a Z...
Well, she's a week old and only has 225 miles. Still a baby. Hopefully I'll have her broken in in time for my first road trip next month to the Brickyard 400 in Indy!
Thanks again everyone!!
Peace

My problem is not blind spots, but seat height. I have problems judging curve distance when I park because I can't see the nose of the car.
Also, as far a I know, you can't adjust seat height, just angle-right?
Thanks.

Right, the seat angle only adjusts - at least on my non-powered seat (Performance).

I find the stick on type mirrors invaluable.....do not have to turn my head to check the blind spots.....I think I bought them at a Brookstone store.....mount them on the inside near corner...see photo.
As far as height adjustment of the seat, I also find the seat too low even at the maximum level so I sit on an Obusform cushion.

Obusforme is a CDN company that makes several different products such as pillows, seat cushions and back supports. I use the seat cushion in the Z to gain a bit of height (1") to see over the hood. It also evenly distributes body weight and eliminates pressure points. I use their back support in our Maxima as there is not enough support in the seats.

I have had my 350Z for 10 months and experienced the same problems with visiblility. Proper side morror adjustment makes a big difference. I also raised the dirvers seat 1 inch which really helps my visibility when backing into a parking space. I'm 5' 8' but short in the waist up, the 1 inch height adjustment worked great for me.
