We up here in BC can't get money for wheels. Only if you actually purchased them seperately. I actually called my insurance twice about that...too many people here scamming insurance to buy new wheels...

keep an eye out.. once the sell the fronts, they'll have the $$ for two more cinder blocks and be back for the rears.

I was about to dog you for buying $5000 rims but this is just flabbergasting.

Some people have all the luck.

I didn't know that, but I can definitely see that being the case. You might want to keep an eye out on craigslist; the thief(ves) might be stupid enough to post them up for sale. Not quite sure what you'd do if you found em', but I've had friends find their stolen things on CR before.

and I think ICBC has caught on with frequent 'claimers' scam? Richmond is pretty messed up anways... last year, some guy went out of their way to break into a condo parking complext (which was garage/gated) and randomly broke windows of cars (and not stealing anything)... yet they left the cars sitting outside in the streets untouched...

Stockers or not, 5x114.3 or 5x4.5 is a popular bolt pattern.

Haha! Sorry man, that brings back memories for me. The same thing happen to my 05 Z. I found it sitting on bricks the first month I had it. I guess it's easier to steal them then buy new tires. I figured it was someone with an 03 Z with tire feathering. Look at the bright side. I filed a police report and my insurance cut me a check. Those wheels and tires are not cheap when you get'em from the dealership =).

EDIT:
Don't forget to buy wheel locks when you get your new rims.

Cheers!

damn that sucks! i guess i should be happy knowing that NO ONE will steal my 04 chrome stock rims... but if it did happen, it would force me to get better wheels MUCH faster.

the rear of the car is harder to jack up with a shitty jack. after they got their *** kicked getting the fronts off they were like f*ck it and took what they could get. Atleast they left the blocks instead of dropping it on the ground. Sad sight without a doubt, good reason to get some real rims though
