Default Has anybody else had their doors randomly lock on them?

So this weekend, I was washing my car and when I went to dry the door sills and hatch sill, I found that the doors were locked. Normally, when I wash, I leave the keys in the ignition or the driver seat and this time, while the keys were on the seat, the doors randomly locked on me.

Luckily, I have an extra key to my place and an extra set of car keys in my place so it wasn't a big deal, but still, has this phenomenon ever happened to anyone else?

think I read in the manual that if you unlock the doors but do not open one in a certain amount of time they will relock.

Definitely true, but the entire time, I was opening and closing the doors multiple to wash the sills and interior so I didn't leave the doors alone after unlocking them with the remote.

Keep a copy of your beast's key in your wallet; it won't start the monZter, but you'll get it open, no problemo.

Yes.

One morning I started my car and backed out of the garage into the driveway. I had forgot something inside so I left the car running (at 5 AM) and ran into the garage to get what I forgot. I came out to the car and the doors were locked.

Shouldn't be able to do that - exiting the door it had to be unlocked. I leave the window open when I'm leaving the keys inside now.

I never lock doors at all. Anything inside my car cost much less to replace than a 350Z window :-D

Mine will lock itself. I have an '03 and maybe this just happens with the older models.

mine has never locked after i opened the door, but even before reading this im always afraid any vehcile will do this and have put the window down. Just encase. Never locked by itself though. If you unlock the car with the remote, let it sit for a few min without opening the door, the doors will lock again. thats normal. but mines never locked itself after being fully unlocked and opened/closed etc. I still keep keys outside or windows open. I have 07

When I hold the unlock botton to put the windows down and wait more then a minute to open the door the doors relock. Other then that the doors never automatically lock on me.

i leave my car running when i jump in a convient store and we all know how those lottery people infront of ya can be.

Ive never had this happen with my 07 but even so if leave the car running i leave the windows down enough i can get in if it does somehow lock.

I vote too many electronics and programs on a car is a bad thing.
