Angry woooooooorst day ever!!

So yesterday was the worst day ever...

I just got on the freeway on my way to school to take a midterm. Everything was going well until this retard in a Dodge Ram runs over a tire that was on the freeway and of course it hits my car. Keep in mind that the tire was the full tire not just a little piece. I tried to get that A**H*** to pull over but he just drove off I was able to take a picture with my phone of his license plates. Thanks to him now I have scratches, scuff marks, and dents from my drivers side head light all to way to the door. Oh he also broke my side mirror right off..

Do you guys think i will be able to get him to pay for all of the damages???? Regular people when they see things on the road they avoid them not run them over!!!!

Also will someone here be able to help me enhance the picture to see the guys license plate number because it is kind of blurry.......

Why is this the guy in the trucks fault???? He's in a truck, theres something in the road you think hes gonna swerve a big truck and possibly loose control to miss a tire???? You shouldnt be looking for someone to blame, this kinda s.hit happens. Yes it does suck but it was an accident. Your insurance will cover it. The smart thing to do would have been to pull over and call the police to get a report and then call your insurance. Goodluck,

If this is your worst day ever, you must be young, and things must be going really well for you. It could be a lot worse man..
Good luck with the repairs.

im pretty sure you are at fault even though guy driving truck caused this to happen. call your insurance and explain to them what happened and most likely they will say its your fault. don't worry you will get through this, good luck man

just be glad your Z took the hit, imagine if you were on a bike----> that would be the worst day ever.

it does suck, but unless the tire was a "lost load" from the truck it may be a waste of time trying to pursue him for fault.

Good luck man, sorry to hear about this. Keep us updated.
I know in arizona...If a car hits your car with a rock or w/e it is NOT their fault.
But in Kansas... If a car hits your car with a rock or w/e it is IS their fault.
I guess it all depends on the state

no chance in reading the license plate from that picture (maybe the FBI can do it) and you probably wont be able to blame him anyway. if the tire fell off of his truck that's a different story. but you said it was already on the road...

side note: i was driving behind a pickup this morning on my way to work and all of a sudden he swerves into the next lane leaving me to see a completly stopped car while i was going 55 mph. good thing the z has pretty good brakes. that def woke me up.

I wouldn't say its your fault but it is an no fault accident. It probably will still raise your insurance policy eventually and will definitely extend you $500 pre dem because its probably $1k to $1500 worth of damage unless you got a hook up. If you can just get it done cash might be best but it is a claim that the Insurance copy would pay.

The guy in the truck is not at fault unless the tire fell from his truck bed. Its reasonable to assume he was also a victim of the laid out tire.

Most trucks always drive wrecklessly as if they are on top of the world or something.

Hope ya get it fixed.

I can't believe that you actually want to put this on the truck. Maybe, while the FBI is blowing up your cell phone pic to get the plate # they can trace the tire to the original owner.

Chances are that the tire did damage to the suspension and undercarriage of the truck that hit it first, therefore he's in the same position you are, a victom of road debris.

You're going to have to come out of pocket and either pay to have it fixed or pay your insurance deductible.

Interesting note about the law in Kansas stating that drivers are responsible for rocks, etc. coming from their vehicle. I've seen this in some states relating to commercial vehicles but never to individuals.

On a bike! You'd be dead. Sorry man that sucks. I would be on the phone with my ins. company if I were you and tell them the story. They will be the ones that would know if you can get this guy or not.
