I just picked up my Z earlier tonite! I know i already made a post about it, but Im still in this euphoria of owning this car! Anyways, my question though is sorta random, but one thing the salesmen was offering me (I declined it for the time being, told him I may come back for it another time) was something called like an EPP coating for your car. He said it prevents damage from UV rays, rain, etc... Is this worth $200 or will i just be handing them money for nothing??
opinions, advice, experiences with it would be helpful

Well, I don't trust dealers, so I personally wouldn't get it from them.
It might be similar to the "crystalguard" that is advertised on this site. Not sure if it's any good though.
I like Zaino myself. It's pretty expensive, but it lasts a long time and looks very good.

It's a polish that you put on very thinly but in many coats. Time consuming though.

Drew decline such coverings at all costs.
There is no such thing. The only thing he may be speaking of is a teflon coating, which has no place on your vehicle.
I have been detailing at the professional level for years, and you should avoid any service that claims to prevent UV damage for any length of time.
Your clear coat already does this. Protectants and other materials accomplish this as well.
Zainobros.com or Blackfireusa.com are good places to start.
However, you should visit and register at www.autopia.org for the real facts of the matter.
