Apparently what we heard yesterday about a preorder delivery at Irvine Nissan was true. This was posted on zcar tonight:

I just got my 350Z yesterday!

After the initial shock of the phone call from the dealer that it had arrived before expected, I dashed on down.

The car is far more than I had hoped to expect.

How does it drive? Awesome is too tame a word. It instantly felt like a Z. It went where I wanted it to go - as if by reading my mind. The solid feel and power of the drive is beyond words.

The navigation system is the best I've used. The sound system is, well, Bose. Yes, the seats are that good.

I have waited 12 years for this car. Yesterday I stepped out of an 80's Z into a 21st Centruy Z. I don't use the word Great lightly. I remember when my Dad got his 65 mustang. This is as important a car. Wow, wow, wow...

Oh yes, everyone at Irvine Nissan has been incredible. I'm amazed they let me drive off in it - they all love the car so much.

BTW. for those who are interested, this guy says he is planning to take the car back to Irvine Nissan Sunday at 2 P.M. for those who want to see it. Although you probably should check the thread at zcar before you head out there, because he wasn't definite on it yet.
