Maybe you should write directly to Nissan. No one here know anything about cars.

Why dont you just ask the question here ANYWAY???

Im sure a NISSAN tech comes to the site, although i wouldn't trust one!

I work on cars all day long and Nissan is sure on the list of many, plus look i own a Z as well. Perhaps I could help you out?

Lol truth is you will probably have better luck getting your question answered here than going through Nissan.

I would say that some of the guys on here know more about these cars than the people Nissan employs.

You aint telling me nothing new Lento. Just this week had a 02 Sentra in with codes P0057 and Misfire code. I tried it all and could not figure out what the hell was going on. So i sent the customer to the dealer and they end up changing out his ECU for about 1500. Poor kid comes back like "man my engine lights still on and i paid all this $ for them to fix it." I told em to leave it and did some HC research in my shopkey to find that there was a TSB 1491 of these 2 codes coming on in conjunction. All i had to change was his Vacuum Cut Valve on the Gas Tank, perform a drive cycle and all the ECU monitor's were set n went through NJ inspection perfectly. Troubleshooting helps I try to tell people the dealer's don't do it cause time is $!!!

GO NISSAN DEALERSHIP!!!!!

Well since we are asking questions... When i turn TCS off is it really off? Cause it doesnt seem like it for the most part.. I have an 06 Enthusiast no VDC. I read that people take the VDC out because when you turn it off that it doesnt turn off completely.. Wondering if its the same with the TCS.

When TCS is off, its off. All it does is regulate throttle when it senses wheelspin. With TCS off, you can spin the tires all day.

About the VDC, i never spin my tires but one day with a little rain i tried it with the VDC off, and i still felt that little loss of power. I was figuring if i ever want to spin em like crazy i was going to put a cut off switch between the fuse and mingle it into the vdc switch so that when its off its off!! have not done it as of yet, but it may work.

^I don't know about you, but when my VDC kicks in, it's not a 'little' loss of power.
