You and Your Z!
LOL!
My wife and I were out washing our cars today...then we bring em into the garage to dry them out of the sunlight. I finished first and helped her with hers (she has an 04 Sebring convert..bright red!) and she suddenly asks me...please release the hood so i can get under it too.
Holy **** I thought...how ****!! And then I started thinking...hmm, I should probably start cleaning under mine too!
Good grief!!

Well Im sure there might have been posts about this in the past, or has come up in some ways, but I figure it would be interesting to see JUST how much people here love their Z, and all of the idiosyncratic and crazy ways they show their affection to the car! Lol, i know its just a car and I'll probly get some critiscm for it, but hey i know there are plenty of Z owners out there who do lots of weird, but STRAIGHT from their heart, things/rituals for their babies.
I may not be in a really good position to be posting about all of this, considering I haven't even had my Z for a week, but I've already noticed some of the little things I find myself doing, and was just wondering about the rest of you all. Besides, we all need something personal and interesting to write about when we dont feel like working tomorrow...haha
Things I do:
- Talk to my car and tell her goodnight
- Everytime I get out of the car, I pick pieces of dirt/whatever was on my shoe OFF of the Z floor mat that's there
- walk around the car fully inspecting it everytime I get out of it for dings, scratches, anything!
- check on her 3-5x per hour during the work day
- keep paper towels and napkins inside her at all times, and
dust her at least once a day
- find myself loving the car more as I drive her more and more
- feel anxious when other ppl are near her and touching her
- NEVER allow anyone else to drive
- never allow food/drink in her under any circumstances
- have dreams about driving her
well thats just a start, plus im waiting to see what other ppl right, and how many responses I get that suggest I seak out psychiatric help
please post stuff, you all KNOW you have your quirks and/or ways of showing love for your Z too

Ditto on all the above, plus more:
1. ONLY drive the baby to work when the weather forecast calls for NO RAIN!
2. Actually changed my work hours so I go in 1 hour early to get the prime parking spot (covered parking of course) so nobody can park next to me.
3. If I park at a mall or other public place...better have my walking shoes on...because I will be as far away from everyone else as possible!
4. I have a picture of my car in a frame on my desk at work....this car may require me to go into therapy!
You're not alone man! I am completely in love with this vehicle!
Question: is it legal to apply for a marriage license to a car?? Hmmm...have to check.

Under consumption, people may establish types of relationships with a product. There is the self-concept attachment which helps to establish the user's identity. There's nostalgic attachment - the product serves as a link with a past self. Interdependence - the product is a part of the user's daily routine.
What is to be found here amongst some of us ... is
We also touched the issue of consumers losing a sense of what reality is. It falls under the "dark side of consumer behavior" and can be tied to addictive consumption/consumer addiction. Some psychologists are actually concerned about the attachment of human beings to inanimate objects ... especially when it involves a modification of routine behavior ...
Best watch out David! You could end up in the looney ward!
Although I do like to keep my car clean - I will admit that is as far as it goes - I love driving it, love looking at it when it's freshly clean and walking around it. I don't try to get to campus earlier, however, so that I can get a better spot. I am weary of parking it next to bigger cars ... but I've realized that most people are pretty considerate about making sure they don't ding cars with their doors. I've never had it happen ...
HAPPY LOVIN'! If you need a best man - let me know!

David-
Great answers man! Haha, I feel you on everyone of your additions. Im worried just because I know that ones love for things (usually people...
) can grow with time. And considering I've only had the car for about a week, and reading that other ppl still are obsessed with their babies after months and months, and thousands of miles, makes me worried for the future! But its all good, I love my baby soo much, I cant wait for upcoming months as we grow closer
(currently in search of psychiatrist...
)lol
thanks for all the posts, glad to see so many other owners out there share such a passion for this beautiful machine!

Actually, I have 3 pictures so I can see all the angles. The day after I got my Z I took a 24 roll of pictures of her and had sent to a 1 hour photo-development, I couldn’t wait to see the pictures!
Also, my garage at home is heated/air conditioned. Is it strange that I open the hood when I get home from driving her so she can cool down faster? She is so HOT, I feel sorry for her and want her to cool off.
Yes, we are in love, I KNOW she loves me as much as I love her.
Ahhhhhhh... it's a true love. I'll never cheat on her and I don't look at other cars.
Sorry, I got to go take my meds now. Later...

Man oh man! This sh*t is TOO FUNNY! Man - I thought I was weird ... I can't help but be drawn to such beauty! Isn't she perfect? Whenever I'm at a friend's place and I go outside to smoke a cigarette (NO, I don't smoke in my Z), I go out and walk around her, looking at her from different angles just admiring the beauty. It's also really cool on a night when there is moonlight shining down on it, like it's from Heaven ...
Pathetic? Maybe. Crazy? Oh well!
PEACE!
