100mph...hit pole...flipped. NE1 here?
I travel that area of Midway road all the time. The 18000 block is 6 lanes concrete divided by a median with residential on both sides. The nearest intersection has a 24hour Wal Mart. I think the speed limit is 40 or 35. It is no place to be doing 100.
Of course they may not have been going anywhere near 100. "100 mph" makes for a much better news story.
Whatever the speed, he screwed up. It is smooth, dry, straight, lighted concrete. He was either way too fast or completely out of control to loose it on that street.
And I wonder what kind of shitty gas mileage you get at 100mph?

and I know for a fact there a a # of people who have accidentally had a few to many to drink and drove in the z before.
that being said, it could have happened to almost any of us. everybody thinks there to smart for it to happen to them, but guess what I'll be he did too.
I'm not saying what he did was right or even okay, but you guys sure do throw a whole lot of stones for people that live in glass houses.

Nah, I don't and can't drive like that. Gas price is too high and I can't afford to pay for a ticket.

It really wasn't. I stay up in my area. The downside of all this is that due to those irresponsible people, others had to suffer (power outage, redirected traffic, etc). The upside of things is that there is now 1 less DB on the road around here.
(pun intended)
