I spun out on my Z about a month after I got it. I was going around 45 and hit a wet patch on the expressway...thank God I went into the grass on the shoulder and the car stopped. Only damage was the plastic under the front bumper. But really scary. Is this an issue with the car's "toe" or "camber"? PS I was sober...

wat

only 45 on the expressway?

the car will not simply get loose for no reason. i would say its an issue with your driving.

Yeah 45 on the expressway and the car screwed up? Not saying you're a bad driver, but it sounds like you made a mistake. maybe tapped the gas at the wrong time? Maybe you were already hydroplaning a little bit and hitting that dry spot made you kick out of control. Try to evaluate whether or not you could have prevented it, then ask about malfunction. Not attacking, just suggesting.

atleast you didn't use "common cents"... I've seen that one too.

Getting a DWI is not worth the risk for me. I like to sober up at a Cafe Brazil by ordering up some of their awesome pancakes with hashbrowns and ketchup.

like i said I absolutely don't condone his actions at all, nor do I agree with drinking and driving at all. all I'm saying is that we've all done things were not proud of, but then we're the first people to turn around and crucify others for the same actions.

there has been atleast one time when I have had a one to many and drove the short distance back to my apartment. I wasn't very drunk but I still probably shouldn't have been driving. I know I got lucky that nothing happened, and I know it was stupid. I am not proud of it at all. I think about the damage I could have done not only to my car and myself, but to some innocent victim as well. it was a moment of bad judgement that shames me to talk about it even now. and I know there are more like me who are reading this who won't admit they have done the same thing, but I would rather us have an unhypocritical, unjudgemental discussion of the situation so we can learn from this unfortunate incident.

not just simply cast stones at others misfortunes like we have a tendency to do on this forum.

The damage doesn't seem to match the damage of this other Z wreck that hit a light pole at 100 mph:

Although the one pic I've seen doesn't show all the damage but it still doesn't look to be the same amount of damage.

and I know for a fact there a a # of people who have accidentally had a few to many to drink and drove in the z before.

that being said, it could have happened to almost any of us. everybody thinks there to smart for it to happen to them, but guess what I'll be he did too.

I'm not saying what he did was right or even okay, but you guys sure do throw a whole lot of stones for people that live in glass houses.
i've hit more than a 100 miles on a highway or speedway which is alsopart of a puplic road but safer than a public street like the one on the accident.

and of course we know they didnt want that to happend to them but they were stupid if they were drinking and racing at the same time and if they were over a hundred miles and they were speeding not racing one more reason to say who ever was driving the car does not deserve a Z. that's all i have to say.
