Question Is Celica interior space similar to Z??

Has anyone sat in a new model Celica as well as the Z. They are pretty similar in overall size. I was wondering how the interior dimensions feel in comparison to one another. I've sat in a Celica but haven' t had a chance to sit in a 350Z. I'm hoping the 350z will be a little roomier than the Celica.

How did leg room and forward view compare specifically? At 6'4", I think I would have felt pretty cramped trying to shift a manual in the Celica. The view out the front was also slightly blocked by the roofline. It was fairly roomy overall though for a small car.

Thanks for the specs VQ. I've actually seen them already, I was just looking for a personal point of view.

Yeah, but not by 10 ft^3! That would mean the RSTB was a solid mass of like 1.25x1.25x4 ft!

I also don't understand the 300zx or measurements in general... how does the 300zx possibly measure as being smaller than the 350z, which is the same as the current Celica? Did they change the way they measure between 1996 and 2002??

I guess the strut brace eats up a lot of space, but the main thing is FWD vs RWD. The Celica doesn't have any drivetrain components back there, so the trunk floor is probably a lot lower.

Getting back the original poster's question, the Z seems to have more headroom than the Celica (I'm 6'0). It's been a while since I've sat in a Celica, but I do recall noting that wearing a helmet would not be possible, whereas the Z seemed to offer a lot more headroom. BTW, the Celica had a sunroof. I'm sure a non-sunroof Celica should have more headroom.

It's a little hard to compare on paper. I don't know why, but some cars have the same headroom as another, but are actually much tighter when you actually sit in them.

That being the case, I have sat in the Z (6'3") and had pleanty of head room and every review has praised the room for a sports car.
