Accidently drive over some crazy **** in the road, could there be any damage?
So yesterday I was just cruising down a backroad that I haven't driven down in a long time, which was going great until I suddenly seemingly out of nowhere I heard the worse bottom out sound I have ever heard before. Where it happened was the oddest place to bottom out since it was just a straight flat stretch of road, that is until I turned around to see exactly what it was that I drove over. In the center of the lane that I was traveling down there just so happens to be this stretch of asphalt about as long as my car that is lifted up about a good couple of inches off from the rest of the asphalt. Man did it **** me off, although I could see how I was far from the only car to bottom out there as the top of the lifted surfaced was somewhat grinded down. I want to go back there just to take a picture of this, as it is quite easily the worse imperfection I have ever seen in the road being how hard it is to see it when you are driving.
Anyways I just hope that I didn't damage my car in any way, but from the sound that it made when my car went over it I find that unlikely. Although for the record my Z is stock height with stock bodykit, so I guess like it could always be worse. It is situations like this that keep me from ever lowering or getting a kit for my Z.

also, might have some wheel damage depending on how fast you hit it.

Hope everything is ok with the car. Just be glad you were able to drive away and nothing serious happened.
I attached a pic of what happened last time i drove over **** in the road! If you cant tell that is a truck mudflap under my car and yes that is 93 octane fuel everywhere.
Best part is car was in storage for the entire winter and i took it out that day as it was such a nice dry and sunny day out.

If it tracks straight and the steering wheel is centered when the car is pointing straight then i wouldn't worry about suspension damage.
You probably just scraped an under body panel or brace. No biggie just be careful.

If you run over a raised part of the road, yes there could be damage. But the best way to know is to look under your car? I don't know what you want from people on the internet just reading a description of you running over something. Just look under the car.
just lay down with a flashlight and see what you can see under there. I doubt it did any serious damage. Check the exhaust midpipe, and muffler for damage. You probaby skidded across the crossmember support and that made the horrible sound. From your discription, I doubt there is serious damage.
