Default Should I always rev match for downshifting for acceleration???

So ive had my z for a week now and this is my first stick car and im pretty damn good on it compared to day 1 and 2, but once in a while on downshifts i cant seem to properly rev match and the car obviously jerks a lil on the downshift.....is it a must to rev match for downshifting to pass people, acceleration, and or racing (which i RARELY do and not yet in this car)....lets say im going 80 in 6th gear and i want to downshift to 4th what would be the proper procedure or should i just quickly and gently shift it from 6th to 4th without blipping?and o i havent quite mastered the blipping technique yet

you won't need to do this in everyday situations. if you aren't on the track, simply throw it straight into 4th with your foot off the gas, then apply gas as you let off the clutch.

rev matching in any case is always nice for your clutch...

as for acceleration using the momentum of your car to speed the engine to the proper RPM cant possibly HELP your acceleration. blip the throttle whenever possible, if it gets you any closer to where you need to be, the better.

Go through 5th too.... so to shift from 6 to 4th do... clutch it.. shiff to 5th then 4th, blip the throttle and clutch out.. ..

You do not Have to do 5th but it is much easier in the tranny syncros. or dubble clutch... in a emergancy situaton it is not big deal if you out right skip 5th but it will be better if you do when you can.
