Trade 04 Touring In & Get a Nismo?
I traded an '06 track and the Nismo is a much better all-around car.
Many Nismo owners had previous Zs and are quite happy with their decision to trade up, but at this point, might as well wait for the 370Z.

If you like the looks go ahead...but it might be worth your while to wait until the new Z comes out...the new Z will decrease the value of the nismo, or the new Z might just be the Z FOR YOU!
can't you people make your own decisions in life?
NISMO's great and all, but do you REALLY need it? If you got the $ then go for it. Im sure due to it being a package deal, parts as far as to maintain it are going to be least double if not triple of the norm. Not to mention a tad harder to find a few years after as well. The new Z might be all super great and all with it's "new technology" but what moron's going to buy it the day of? I'd least wait to see what unexpected problems arise after a few sales. Not to mention that "futuristic look almost has it as a fraternal twin to the eclipse.
Ultimately the decision is yours so choose wisely my friend. I mean team impulse....so go on your impulse!!

And the only people that think the nismo Z is basically just a waste a money are people who truely don't appreciate 350z's. The nismo Z is for two types of people. 1: a person who wants an out of the box track ready car if they auto-x or roadrace alot, or 2: a TRUE 350Z enthusiast who basically just wants to own the "top dog" of 350z's and are in it for it's exclusivity and rarity among standard 350z's.

if your looking to collect the Z, then a nismo is the way to go. If your looking to spend money and mod it up, then don't buy a nismo. Im sure the mods are made for the track for an avg joe, but if you have the skills to exceed what the nismo can handle, then your going to have to upgrade what it came with as well. Dealer's can only do so much with in the law as far as making the car the greatest driving machine, or there would be no need for aftermarket parts!

The Nismo was produced for the track, look around, I'd say maybe 20% of Nismo owners see a track regularly enough to make the extra few grand worth it.
As for the whole mass produced vs rare car debate, once again it's up to you, the only time it's relevant is if you plan to keep the car for decades to come and wait for it to become a collectable. In my opinion which probably isn't popular with Nismo owners is the Nismo is the best car to keep as a collectable because most dont want to be seen in it thus kept in near prestine condition and under the best visual conditions... locked up and covered will heed a great car to have in 40 years

2. it's not that rare, theres 2 down the street at a nissan dealership. theyre not that rare.
ill admit, i most likley wont get a 370z until i get a look at the car in person. cuz the drawings werent that great lookin. but there is nothing that great about the Nismo IMO. not just cuz i dislike nismo, but i think owners think it's great just because its the highest trim of the 350

since he's trading it in, he may finance the rest... not many people have about 8k cash up front to just buy a turbo kit. and some may not think its a good idea to take out a seperate loan you may regret in a couple years.

and I suppose you could just buy a boring standard z and put suspension mods on it, but theres still things it wont have that the nismo does.
whether you like it or not, the nismo z is better than a standard Z, so get used to it.

your one of the most dissapointing Z owners I know of.
There's 4 nismo's in my city of 100,000 That I see regularly....there's about a dozen regular Z's seen regularly.
Not scientific by any means, but based on that, they aren't rare.
Basically Nismo owners will always think they are special, and many other Z owners will always think its a Z w/ a body kit....nothing said can change this...so lets all just walk away from the computer, go out to your Z (nismo or not) and give it a big hug! It'll appreciate it!
And if your considering a change of vehicle, don't let ppl on the internet decide for you, get out there and decide for yourself.
