body kits are generally pretty lame. the 350z looks good, no need to mess with that.. the bbk will look great and will be a huge breaking upgrade, if you spend any time at the track at all, they will shine big time. If not they do look nice as well.
The body kit will just make the car look plasticy and riceish...
Just my opinion however, people with body kits etc don't bother getting all mad, looks is subjective remember...

Well, since you're in the market for a Vertex kit and BBK... Here's my setup with Project Mu BBK + Vertex Full bumper kit. Hit up Andy@Performance for the best prices.

Hopefully this helps with your decision making process.

This is a prime example that a bodykit doesn't make a car look ricey or "plasticy" so to speak. Very tastefully done. If you do things the right way, bodykits turn out very nice. Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot out there that look horrible. But if you buy a quality kit to begin with, and take the correct steps to have it fitted and painted, it will turn out nice.
As far as BBK or kit, do what makes you happy. Ultimately it's your money and happiness.

The rear bumper is a bit to low over the exhaust tips and kinda flares out too much but overall, that really is a nice looking setup.

BBK.
Especially with new wheels, you're gonna want a nice brake kit to fill in the hole. Wheels on stock brakes looks like.. I should know...
If you want to change the look a lot, get BBK and get a 1" drop. It'll change the look of your car a lot more than you think.

Heres a huge tip for you my friend,
If you aren't going to race/track/show your car then get some cross drilled slotted rotors, get your calipers painted and upgrade your brake lines. That would make a world of difference. Then spend your money on a bodykit.
But if you go BBK, Wilwood.
My .02,
p.s. Your car, your dime, do what you want to do. If YOU want a body kit then get one, dont listen to the haters. Everyone doesn't like a sleeper car.

Bide your time and get a second hand BBK if you must have the pretty calipers; Go body kit.
