I had issues with the car shortly after I bought it, and it died on me one night on my way to Lime Creek Road.
Two Travis County Sheriff's deputies showed up (I guess it was a slow night) to make sure I didn't get hit (dark corner).
They spent most of their time asking me about the car, how it differed from previous generations, expressing condolences at my plight, and BSing about their own cars . . .
Nice guys.

the first day i got my Z i got pulled over for speeding. I was going 71 on a 45 but the cop was nice enough to put speeding instead of reckless and even complimented me on a nice car lol. Also, over the weekend late at night i accidentally burned a red light and got pulled over. He gave me a ticket and asked if it was my car. As i said yes, the cop complimented me on a nice car lol. unfortunately my car is in the shop and won't have it till early next week.

I got pulled over once for no front tag.
Cop- "It is illegal in the state of Maryland to not have a front plate."
Me- "I know Sir."
Cop- "If this was my car, I would not have one anyways. Nice Z."

Not quite the same, but there were a few guards that always will send me to the check point coming on post. At first I thought it was racial profiling, since I am puertorican, but it turns out the just wanted to check out the car!

haha no lie i had a cop ask me to race him, it was late one night and he just got off. he pulled up next to me at a red light and was like nice car i was thinking about buying one for my wife. i was like thanks. then he goes you wanna run them real fast i wanna see how it is compared to this. haha i was like yaaa.... i could picture him radioing ahead and say in pursuit of a red 350z

I have friend that's cop that has a 2003 Z - it's auto tho...
Knew another cop that was working undercover that had a black Z that was seized from a drug dealer. Had 20" chrome rims and tint - was pretty funny looking to see him drive it. It got wrecked in another investigation about a year or so ago.
