its a 2000$ option.

I dont have it, but ive used my dads ipaq with nav software.

you dont need it if you dont have it. but if you do have it, you cant ever give it up.

Maps? We don't need no stinking maps!!

Besides...maps are analog in a digital world!

Had to pick up my new Z in Dayton and drive back to Cincinnati. My son drove me up and then we came back together. He got off the interstate to go thru some private neighborhoods, and I lost him at a traffic light. I had NO idea how to proceed, so I just tapped in my home address and voila! My mistress told me exactly where to go, kept me informed of mileage between turns, and if I strayed off path, continually retraced a new set of directions to get me there..

Gotta love da NAV!

I actually ordered it when I ordered my car. Through some kind of goof, she arrived without the Nav. After having the Z a while now, I'm kind of glad I didn't get it--that empty console is a GREAT place to hide boost guages, so no one can see them when I don't want them to.

i dont think u need nav if u know where u going..most of the time..if u like to travel and explore a lot..or your job requires it.. (why would u drive a Z during work??) then go with a Nav..hehe

I put the Alpine navigation in, along with my Eclipse screen.

I could not be in a car without Navigation now... just the "rest assurance" is value enough. Locally, I love knowing an eta of arrival... as for when I travel, it's worth its weight in gold.

couldn't agree more. although i actually didn't pay for my nav (dealer through it in) the stock nissan nav integrates so much better than the aftermarkets i've seen. it's also QUITE a conversation peice and adds a little life to an otherwise "ok" interior.

Good Lord ! 185 is outrageous..... I guess I won't be updating mine for at least 2 years. Thanks havabooz.

Does the Nav tend to get you places the quickest way or does it take you out of the way a lot? My mother in law has the Nav in her 2003 Accord and we were going to a mall and it told us that we should go straight for 7 more miles when the mall was right there at the next light. Not that you would use it it places you were familiar with, but just curious. The Nav definitely makes the interior a bit sweeter.

I am not affraid about getting lost if I have a full tank of gas, and if I don't have enough gas I just go to a gas station .

I ordered my track model w/o it, then I got a call that the dealer got the car I wanted EXCEPT it had the NAV, he said he would give it to me for cost w/o tax so I took that car. Long story short, yes it's worth it.

Here's the way I look at it: I can figure out how to get anywhere any number of times for a lot less than $2000. So it's not worth it to me.
